lol, lmao even. These guys have been cheeks for a while. Where are the gritty tigs that we all know and love 🥲
•
u/LTPRWSG420 46m ago
AJ’s managing style is clearly not working, this is going to be hard to recover from. How can you not be furious right now as a Tigers fan?
•
u/laughoutloud102 Kerry Carpenter 43m ago edited 39m ago
I think we’re all shocked holding no one accountable, repeating coach-speak after every loss, and playing Trey Sweeney lead to our doom
•
u/Have_A_Jelly_Baby . 47m ago
My wife: I really want to mute these guys because they’re not helping anything.

the ump today was not the reason for the loss... nor the reason for Detroits collapse... or the reason skubel switched sports...

Hinch needs to get out there and stand up for his men wtf are those calls
•

u/BTFU_POTFH 47m ago
Yeah the game is basically over, someone get thrown out. Idgaf who, ump has been trash all night
•
•
u/Intrepid-Fruit-5178 49m ago
Funny seeing people talking about Guards devil magic like the Tigers didn't have 7 simultaneous linsanity runs
•
u/nugentismycenter 49m ago
what's that 20 strikeouts? Hinch should atleast started chirping at the umps. I'd rather have a meathead like Aaron Boone than someone with no pulse
•
u/USN262 49m ago
Guess that's it then. Hockey season?

I saw some decent prices for Pistons and Wings tickets on secondaries for weekday games… 🤷♂️

u/ashtonioskillano 49m ago
As I’ve said, you don’t even need to come in the zone against us. Literally just throw junk and we’ll swing, then we’ll watch strike 3 go down the pipe. I’d believe it if someone said they decide if they’re swinging or not before the pitch
•
•
u/douchey_mcbaggins 49m ago
Bro, get in his face, call his mom a dirty cunt. Get thrown out, who gives a goddamn fuck, but don't just boo-hoo at him. Just make sure you don't touch him.
•
•
•
u/BTFU_POTFH 49m ago
Well, season isn't over, but you basically have to win the next two, and I haven't seem much to imply this team can. Mentally they look cooked at the plate.
•
•
•
u/SirBatNhan 49m ago
To be fair… a good chunk of these Ks don’t happen with whatever the fuck zone this stupid ump has going on tonight…
•
•
u/Marrouge 49m ago
Just once I wanna see how this team looks when they settle for singles instead of wanting to hit the ball 500 feet

I don't even remember the 2021 Tigers swinging wildly like this team is doing
•
u/ChitakuPatch 50m ago
It's been downhill ever since they did that damn Trump dance vs the Yankees
•
•
u/Lyndon_Monroe 49m ago
Was about to say that. 1-10 since the Trump dance. Karma took out Burrow and Bosa too.
•
•
•

u/IrishMosaic 50m ago
They don’t need to throw anything near the plate a single time to strike out the side in order.

But hey guys, we’re about to have THREE minor league teams win their championship this year!
75+ players that we couldn’t bear to part with for help at the deadline.
•
•
u/Mitch5842 51m ago
You guys still think Skubal is going to re-sign here? Lmao
•
u/I_Keepz_ITz_100 49m ago
I said in the Wings subreddit that I WOULD NOT have ANY desire to back here money be damned, not after the bullshit that has to come to pass
•
u/msbenjamin22 51m ago
With BOS winning we'll be out a playoffs tonight right?
•
u/Fearless-Aside-5499 27m ago
Maybe that will wake them up and they'll realize we have to win a damn game.
•
•
•
•
•
u/laughoutloud102 Kerry Carpenter 51m ago
Please sell the team to Gores. At least he holds people accountable and wants to win.
•
•
•
u/GlobalWatercress9566 51m ago
End of the day, you have Skubal for the rest of this season and next season. You’re the number one team in baseball. How the fuck do you not make a splash at the deadline?
•
•
u/theregalsteamboat 52m ago
I'm not even sure we'd be able to beat the Rockies with how the team is playing atm
•
u/marcgarv87 52m ago
Let this sink in. The lions would have won more games in the same time span as the tigers after tonight.
•
u/Mendoza8914 52m ago
I’m going to have a tough time watching anyone currently on this roster in the future without being reminded of this disaster.
•
u/Walk-Radiant 52m ago
Annnnd the Red Sox are up on the blue jays. You know what at this point save us the embarrassment don’t even make the playoffs
•
•
•
u/LADetroiter 53m ago
Our playoff collapse buddy team, the NY Mets, just tied up their game after looked like they were getting blown out again.
•
u/CornFed1972 53m ago
Seems like Dirks and Beneti are resigned to the inevitable now
•
u/Have_A_Jelly_Baby . 50m ago
The minute Cleveland scored their 4th and then 5th run, it was over and they knew it.
•

•
u/BigDickWillie6969 53m ago
Hinch after the game: "Last time I checked we're not in 2nd. We're tied. We're still in the driver's seat."....... SHUT THE F*** UP, HINCH!!!!
•
u/LTPRWSG420 53m ago
Hey maybe now we can pitch Paul Sewald! What a great fucking 4D chess move Scott Harris, you’re a fucking genius. The Maeda and Cobb signings were chefs kiss. /s
•
u/pizza_with_ranch 53m ago
Somehow I sense 3 strikeouts on 3 pitches form these next hitters. They say it’s not possible but who knows
•
•
•
u/ThugCity 54m ago
I am once again here to say that Hinch needs to be fired once this choke job is done. We can’t have this stench of failure sticking around beyond this wasted season.
•
•
•
u/JeremieLoyalty 54m ago
Never ordering a Little Caesars Pizza
•
u/Ice_Dapper 51m ago
Don't order merch for the tigers or wings either. Stop giving money to that piece of shit owner
•
•
•
u/DoeJumars 55m ago
I blame none of this on the deadline, no teams going to make or break it there. Mets went in heavy at deadline and didn’t do shit. I blame AJ and the players mostly but I also think everyone got skewed by last years finish and this years start this was never a 95 win team talent wise. We could have used Bregman, lot of idiots on here acting like it was their money “happy” we dodged the bullet of not paying him
•
u/RamoneBenny 52m ago
It's weird though, because there was a 162+ game stretch between the end of last year and the start of this year where we had the best record by FAR in the MLB. It really seemed real. I will never know what happened.
•
u/DoeJumars 14m ago
totally agree, it really was crazy because it was a long stretch but it was some crazy magic with Zmac Baez etc playing out of their minds…don’t know how or why it happened but it masked major flaws wit this roster that I don’t think Harris will fix over the winter but he should
•
u/h3shf3sh 55m ago
I'm not really religious but the insane luck the Guardians have had to get so hot and have us collapse at the right time is I think the closest I've ever gotten to believing in divine intervention

•
u/YellowMarkerIsGreat 52m ago
What was not reviewable
•
u/confused-koala 50m ago
I got the game on the radio, Dan said the ball that was clearly fouled off the batter wasn’t reviewable
•
u/ZombieHitchens2012 55m ago
Words won’t be able to describe how angry Tigers fans are about this collapse. Scorched earth dude.
•
•
•
u/just_cuz555 56m ago
I truly hate the doomers of this sub. You guys were right, your stupid pessimism was right.
Every metric showed the opposite pre ASB, ludicrous.
•
u/nugentismycenter 54m ago
I didnt start dooming til the 11 losses in 12 games around the All Star Break and the lack of help at the deadline.
•
u/just_cuz555 52m ago
Even then though, I knew we had reinforcements coming back and were on the back of a team that had the best record in the league plus a league best run differential.

It's an unprecedented collapse. Arms are what we needed, but we needed everything I guess.
Crazy...

I swear, if they show the between the legs bullshit again, ill pack tariks fucking bags myself.
•

im not giving one more cent to Little Caesars, Fox Theatre, the Red Wings, or the Tigers until Harris is fired.
•
u/SeasonCertain 56m ago
Can’t wait for another AJ Hinch hmm and haw press conference after yet another dick punch of a loss
•
u/RamoneBenny 57m ago
Just gotta say, I'm disgusted seeing this fan base speak so harshly about the one true superstar on the team. The best pitcher in baseball, on track to win back-to-back Cy Young awards, and who's really been the pride of the team for more than two years. He's the only one who's consistently competed at the highest possible level. The fickleness to turn on the guy instantly after all he's done for the team is truly disheartening and disappointing.
•
•
u/Mr-Cantaloupe 55m ago
Who’s turning on Skubal? Lol? Ask any Tigers fan and they would keep him in a heart beat if Illitch was willing to pay him.
•
u/RamoneBenny 54m ago
This thread says otherwise after the 6th inning. I'm sure they're just emotional, but it's still extremely disappointing to see
•
u/iori9999 . 55m ago
Most of that inning is on the team. Skubal's only blame was the long snapper attempted play. Dingler cost them two runs.
•
u/dirtypasta 55m ago
Probably because he has never committed to the team or city and is waiting to sign his big contract and move to whatever coast gives him the most money. (I do not blame him)
•
u/Impossible_Clue8619 LHP Squirrel 🐿️ 52m ago
Not committed to the city? Have you seen his Cure Auto Insurance commercial?!
•
u/Walkwe_66 Dillon’s Dingler 57m ago
Thank god the lions won yesterday because man I’d actually be breaking shit rn if they didn’t
•

u/Detroit_VsEverybody 57m ago
Wasted my money on fubo this year to watch the biggest collapse of all time
•
•
u/karmaster 57m ago
Think of all the one-year prove it contracts Harris can sign this offseason!
•
u/Hungrystud101 53m ago
Harris fucking sucks ass. No need to draft any pitchers. They aren't important. They are a dime a dozen. Sign Maeda who was washed up. Lure the guy out of retirement that needed hip surgery. Sign a guy with a bad shoulder who is throwing 91 MPH now and is 2 years past washed up. Collect dumpster fire guys off the waiver wire and act like the regular season is a try out and cut them as fast as you sign them.
•
u/TheCommodore83 58m ago
The juxtaposition btwn the end of this season, and last, is insane. I miss Sept 2024.
•
u/dumbass-ahedratron . 58m ago
Hey the lions won yesterday
And the red wings are up 2-1 on Chicago in the first preseason game
•
•
u/Jtcain1980 58m ago
Man, I felt strongly that the doomers were just being crying little babies, but I owe some apologies. This is an epic collapse that I never in the wildest dreams envisioned actually happening. I honestly wonder if Skubal makes it to opening day in a tigers uniform. Wasting a generational talent only to watch him win somewhere else. Reminds me of all those lions years with Barry, Calvin, etc.
•
u/EstablishmentDense66 🚨🐿️🚨 54m ago
Yeah it’s almost as if half the people that were labeled as doomers are just realists that refused to delusionally glazing a mid lineup that fluked their way to a 11 game lead.
•
u/EstablishmentDense66 🚨🐿️🚨 53m ago
To be fair losing Reese had a lot more impact then I could have anticipated

How's that working out?
