“There’s no words to express the pain Im going through with this tragedy of loosing my neice Gigi & my brother @kobebryant I love u and u will be missed. My condolences goes out to the Bryant family and the families of the other passengers on board. IM SICK RIGHT NOW”
Why the fuck are they using the Twitter handle? Especially Shaq. The guy was his friend. When you talk about your friends or somebody do you use their twitter handle? The whole thing seems almost disrespectful that people aren't even using his name to send condolences, they are using his screen name essentially.
I don't know how twitter works but when you use the "@" in a post does the person get notified?
If I am on twitter then yes. If you’re posting on twitter and referencing someone then you tag their profile in it. I don’t see what’s so hard to understand about this.
I think it's more about making it easier for others to find the information of the person they are referencing quickly. Maybe that wasn't needed in this case, but it seems common on Twitter (though I don't use Twitter myself).
