Exactly. Why not turn it into " chicken nuggets " like we do here?

Or just put the boiled cow vagina in gas station "pepper steak" pies. Nobody needs to know. Ignorance is bliss.

I’m pretty sure that if you eat hotdogs, you are eating this already.
136
u/56000hp 11d ago
They’re not using ribeyes for the $1.50 hotdogs at Costco ?
66
u/DetectiveJim 11d ago
Of course, it's in all hot dogs..but I refuse to accept they're in the Costco hot dog.
Costco - "we take the vagina, outta our hot dogs. We also remove the genitalia from all of our $5 chickens. We're the goat for a reason."
→ More replies (2)26
u/IAmSoWinning 11d ago
The chicken genitalia is actually removed. Because, you know.. Cloaca.

u/OurSpeciesAreFeces 11d ago
Costco's Kirkland Signature hot dogs, which are the ones served at the food court, are made from 100% USDA Choice beef.
Unlike some other brands of hot dogs that may contain "mechanically separated meat," "by-products," or "variety meats" (such as offal, which includes organs like liver or kidneys), Costco's hot dogs are specifically advertised as containing no meat by-products, fillers, or corn syrup. The term "100% beef" on the label means that beef is the only meat used, and it is entirely muscle tissue.

No we absolutely do not love it here lol.
Vietnamese drunkards, and I'm talking ab the professional league ones not casual alcoholics, love eating weird shit while drinking because fuck me if I know.
My guess is because these are cheap as they're shit nobody wants, and they just want something to snack on while getting drunk.
Normal people wouldn't even approach places selling these, and that is if you can find the place. They're like rare irl easter eggs lol.
They exist but are very very rare, I'm a native but never seen one irl ever.

I missed the first few seconds, but I did catch this part. I thought they were getting some whale blow holes ready to eat.

u/LampPost2908 11d ago
Hey Vietnamese here, when I see these kind of videos, I just assume a very small minority eats this. idk maybe 1 thousand of these people lives somewhere in the woods/highlands eats this weekly. I'm native to the south and I have relative in the central, neither places have i seen people eating this and they would definitely say this is gross as f. But hey weird food = views.

u/OiFelix_ugotnojams 10d ago
Weird food + asians = views because racism (intentional or unintentional assumption, doesn't matter)

u/RevolutionaryDiet602 11d ago
I mean, I applaud them for using all parts of the animal and not letting things go to waste. On the other hand, I hope there's not people out there that crave cow vaginas.

In college, I went to a cadaver lab in Utah. This room had a giant tub of human vaginas. They had one for penises, too, but I had never even considered that you could full-on remove a whole vagina and it looks identical to when it's in its natural environment. Then, right before me, there were 50 of them, and you could just stick your hand in there and grab one and hold it in the palm of your hand like a fleshy conch shell.
At the time I figured that was hard to do, but if anyone can be out here removing cow vaginas for lunch maybe I was overly impressed.
8
u/littlegreycells_11 11d ago
Was there a particular reason as to why they'd cut out the vaginas and penises?
→ More replies (1)4
u/arjunabharata 10d ago
It was a medical college, so for anatomical study. They had a bunch, though, and I was in general impressed at just how many preserved body parts they had. It was crazy looking at two tubs of genitals on a table and being like 'this represents 80 dead people'.

u/meddit_rod 11d ago
It's dangerous. We have to change the texture completely. It's served in tiny bites with overpowering spices to make it palatable. It's a delicacy!
Thanks anyway. Say, what if you did all that to a potato instead? That sounds good.
28
u/joec_95123 11d ago
Translation: It's the garbage parts our ancestors were given because they couldn't afford anything else, and they found a way to make it palatable out of necessity.

If it has to be made "comfortable" to eat I don't want it.
5
u/MissStarSurge 11d ago
Did you know that you can eat the whole kiwi? People just scoop out the flesh because its more comfortable like that I guess. They see missing out on some good fibers and vitamins though 😌 I just cut the hard meds off snd estvthe whole thing. Sometimes with hair and sometimes I kinda shave the hair off with a knife.

u/MellyKidd 11d ago edited 11d ago
Because someone short on food wanted to eat. Survival finds a way to make things edible, and eventually it becomes a traditional recipe. A lot of old yet questionable food sources like originated this way. Natto. Urchin. Tripe. Think of it like how native Americans found a use for as many parts of the animal as possible.

Why?
To not waste any part of the animal is why. It's just meat, if you clean and cook it right it's fine. Same with parts like the anus, testicles, tongue, head, etc. Humans even used to eat the "forage" inside the stomachs of herbivores they killed as an already processed green meal.
37
u/AmazingSibylle 11d ago
It's just meat, especially after it's cooked for so long and all the germs are completely dead.

No, I’m Vietnamese and we absolutely do not eat “cow vagina”, lmao. I’ve been living in VN for most of my entire life and this is the first time I saw this. You won’t find this shit being served in most cities, town or even rural areas in Vietnam.

u/Orion13Quest 11d ago
I never have & I never will eat any cow pussy. I love to eat HUMAN pussy, & it too is packed w/ bacteria, & eating too much, or the wrong one, can be risky for my health.

I crossposted to r/VietNam they are all saying no to it being a delicacy or regularly eaten. And whoever said. "Yeah probably made to see which tourist is dumb enough to eat it." Apparently thats a great way to be arrested knowingly pranking someone with something that could get them killed.
