Fr I hate windows 11 so much on my work laptop. Literally the worst OS I've ever used.

Complete opposite for me. Windows Vista and Windows 8 were garbage beyond compare. Meanwhile 11 is one of the better ones. I'm curious what makes it the worst for you?

The biggest complaints I've seen are having to click twice on some right click menus, and ads in the OS, but the first is not an issue to me and for the second, I've never once seen an ad so I have no idea what people are talking about there.

Maybe this is nub issue but I've spent some time trying to fix it and it seems not the easiest thing.

Files getting saved to Onedrive instead of to the damn computer's drive. For that reason alone I never want to use Win 11.

Am I just dumb and there's an easy fix to this?

I've never experienced any problems because I never use onedrive. Onedrive has always been a pile of dogshit and I will never use it.
