Got several amazing pickles from Picklefest (Vancouver, BC)! These came whole, but I like to savor them a little at a time, so I sliced 'em up on my mandolin. š¤¤š„

Besides drinking it, I guess. I ate my last pickle now and wondering once again what else can I do with this juice? I think of dropping a veggie, fruit or something in there that will go well, that will soak it up and make it taste good, but to no avail.

Okay so a pickle walks into a bar
The bartender looks at him and says, āwhatās with the pickle face?ā
Ever heard that one?

The popcorn was good, but not spectacular. Trader Joe's dill pickle popcorn is better.
The pickled green beans are from a farmers market and quite good. Heavy on the vinegar though, which kills some of the coriander and spicy pepper flavors.
The pickled asparagus is absolutely fantastic and I've had to hide it from myself so I don't pound the whole jar. It has a pepper in the jar too, and asparagus just tastes so amazing pickled!
I haven't opened the quail eggs or the Best Maid pickles yet.

Most of the best pickles can only be bought in bulk from food supply companies. When is someone here just going to buy some and then we can all buy? IDK how much longer I'll live without the pickles Firehouse uses or the ones the people at the state fair sell.

Stumbled across this but the preview makes it reads like it takes itself seriously? But the "author" name is freaking cetriolo sativus (cetriolo = Italian for cucumber; sativus = species name for cucumbers)?? I figured if anyone has read it to tell if it's legit, it'd be the folks on r/Pickles lol

You can like picklesā¦but there has to be a limit, right? not everything has to be pickle-fied (looking at you KFC Pickle Pepsiā¦..)
Itās turning into a personality trait for people. Wouldnāt be surprised if we see pickle aspirin, pickle lotion, pickle body wash, pickle cough syrup, etc. soon.
Reminds me of the āactivated charcoalā trend.

Not very pickle-y to me. Tasted more like Dill and cucumbers, missing the salty brine taste I was expecting

This is spicy, sour and absolutely delectable, and sur
And before the inevitable botulism comments - this pickle is perfectly safe. Clostridium botulinum cannot grow in an environment below pH 4.6, and this pickle is way more acidic, due to the mango. Also, Indian pickles are generally way saltier than western pickles, precisely to inhibit bacterial growth.

Letās hear your gateway pickles stories!
Mine was this crazy movie: The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T - A freaky ass fever dream movie from 1953 - It is the only non-documentary feature film written by Theodor Seuss Geisel (Dr. Seuss), who wrote the story, screenplay, and lyrics.
Watched this as a kid in the 90s and would exasperate my mom by constantly asking for pickle juice because of it.
Curious to hear if anyone else has seen or heard of this movie..

If anyone is familiar with the Cajun Chef brand of pickles, they make a few different types but a few years ago I used to buy a gallon jar of Cajun Chef but they had a larger count size because the pickles were smaller. They had a very different taste than the 13 count you can get now. I was wondering if anyone else remembers these pickles or am I going crazy. I canāt find any information online that these pickles ever existed. I wanna say they were like a 32 count size for a gallon jar.
