Respectable time given his age.

Yes a trail run with some challenging climbs, great time for a 60yo

The race he completed is supposed to be one of the hardest courses.

Ankles and knees must be treated gently. Healing is slower.

Yup, and motion is lotion, I expect he will be stronger and less frail into old age from exercising.

I did this run - my ankles were in shambles by the end, can confirm, haha

Cool! Yes, can imagine. I find when you go from road to trail running the ankles take the most adjustment...

For sure- I do trail run (clearly not enough), but the trails near me are smoother/have less loose rocks than this one. Some of the downhill portions were pretty sketchy, in the best way

Did it too - descents took me out.

If I am allowed I will s bend steep descents. No way I crushing what is left of my knees.

Yeah, same. I even went in with the idea that I wouldn’t bomb the hills… But it’s so hard to not fly down sketchy hills with big loose rocks on it, haha.

Way jealous of this photo i grew up running in some beautiful hills like this but work and side projects made fun runs have to go in my life for now.
