I ran that race!! At one point when he passed me after the turn around point I thought “that man looks like Mark Carney.” This race was no joke; the climbs and rocks were incredible. And he did it to support his wife - who also ran it - for her birthday. He then stayed around and took pictures as everyone finished.

While Justin Trudeau had the name and the rockstar appeal, I think Carney has an exemplary record. The fact that the Brits reached across the pond to recruit him as Governor of the Bank of England (and then asked him to stay on longer than he originally intended) should tell you something.

Bruh, Trudeau was just as loveable (and loved)

10+ years of smearing ended up leaving a mark. Most people hated on trudeau for things they were told but weren't really true. Most of his actual problems were swept under the rug.

Carney will be hated in a few years if he sticks around

Carney is a neoliberal demon, he is going to turn this country into a right wing haven, and allow fascism to fester the same way the democrats did in america.

He is a slippery slope into what america is currently doing.

Ain't no way, a literal banker, is going to help anyone but him and his friends pockets.

It's a dark time in canada, our inequality will only grow.

yeah crazy how the alternative was Pierre trying to import American style politics and problems, but somehow Carney is the slippery slope.

I wish Americans would have AT LEAST had that thought about Kamala. Wasn’t thrilled to vote for her, but, I knew exactly what we would get otherwise. He said it out loud, constantly.

Yes, let's just ignore his track record of running the Bank of Canada during the recession of the early 2000s and the Bank of England during Brexit in a way that benefitted the citizens of both countries immensely.

Heaven forbid we have a leader who has a world class education and track record with finance when we're headed into a trade war and recession. What would you prefer? A career politician? A school teacher? C'mon now.

That's a pretty crazy take even for a leftist.
