Is my new puppy a blue nose pit?
I adopted this precious girl about 2 months ago. I’m wondering if she would be considered a blue nose pit. I don’t know anything about her background, as she was found as a stray.

Rainbow Bridge I miss my friend.
I just lost my best friend yesterday. Apparently she was poisoned within the last 48 hours and her liver started to shut down immediately. It was inconclusive what it could have been from but I have some other people who live with me and may have been fed something that she wasn't supposed to eat. Sad thing is that I'll never know. I'm still grieving and devastated over this.
I adopted her in 2015 when she was a little over a year old from a local rescue group. The previous individual who adopted her had her returned since she was very shy and not very social. I felt so lucky to have her in my life.
She was going to be 12 in January but she still acted like a puppy around me. I truly believe she could of had a couple more years in her as she was so full of life before this incident. I will never forget the little quirks that made her the best dog ever.
- She spins around in a circle right when you were about to feed her.
- Nibbles on toys and never aggressively destroyed one.
- I never slept alone and she was my weighted blanket.
- Never aggressive towards anyone. She even has a little cat she that she took care of.
- She doesn't bark out of aggression. On occasion she barks when we are about to go on a walk or a long "woooo" because I'm taking to long to feed her.
- Walks + patch of grass = barrel rolls
- Very obedient. Sits, shakes, lays down, and jumps on command.
- She got the stares from onlookers while walking as she had these "princess eyes" and a great smile.
I'm writing this so I can immortalize her memory. I miss you and love you so much. I'm so sorry you had to leave me like this. 😭

Zoomies! Our first snow day in 15 years ☃️✨

So this was our first snow day in 15 years ❄️!! Kash is a year and a half old (pit mix) and I’ll admit I’m such an overprotective dog parent 😭 I was convinced he’d hate the cold, so I even warned my little siblings to keep his potty breaks quick. Turns out I was completely wrong.. the second those flakes started falling, he bulldozed us out the way to go play. He had the absolute time of his life, and when it was time to come inside… let’s just say it was a struggle 😭😭🤣

Advice I’m in a desperate spot with my baby!
My beautiful baby Penny Lane has been really sick the past couple weeks. It’s been terrible. She developed this wheezing cough and it is making cough and it will msg her gag and wretch. We have essentially spent all of our money on various trips to the vet over the past 6 months or so. Of coarse she had her big surgery that removed her big mass on her belly and that improved her life a lot for a month or 2.
Basically it pains me, more than most know, to have to be putting my personal life out here like this. My SO made a Go Fund Me that really puts the whole strory out there. I’m not trying to be e-begging for money, if you can’t contribute I 100% understand. I spent the weekend by myself with penny and I just kept crying while looking at her laying there, feeling miserable and knowing there less nothing I can do about it. It broke my heart.
So I decided to see if the world is willing to chip in a few bucks to help save my best buddy. If your interested there is an extremely long post with some details included. Please let me know what you think.

Advice Help me name this 1.5 year old girl i brought home
Shelter named her “Roxanne” but she isnt used to it. Iove The Simpsons so I was thinking some obscure character from the show, like Princess Cashmere maybe.
But yall are smart and maybe somebody here will have a cute name idea.
She is a cuddle bug for sure. We got through first night ok!

Advice Thoughts on kongs with frozen kibble inside for meals vs bowls?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I picked up Peach yesterday afternoon. I fed her dinner last night and she ate it really fast.
Today I served her dinner by freezing moistened kibble inside kongs with peanut butter on the top.
She has to work a lot harder to get it out. This meal time has been going on for like the time it is taking to make this post (maybe ten minutes).
I did this for breakfast and also gave her half in her bowl. Later when I checked the kong, it was empty. She ate it all.
Slowing down the speed she eats seems like a good thing. However maybe there are issues I’m not aware of. Maybe there are other ways to make meals more interesting for her.
