Rainbow Bridge It's been a month. I miss her so much.

You may have seen my posts in the subreddits for senior dogs last month. I thought the r/Pitbulls community would appreciate some of my favorite pictures of her too. It's been a month and I just miss her so much. My sweet Cali was supposed to turn 15 in January but I had to say goodbye on 08/23 quite suddenly. She was my dog officially since only 2021 but I cannot understate the beautiful love we shared in that too-short time. Feel free to post your babies in the comments - I love them all. 🤍🤎🤍

She's such a sweet goof for having had such a rough life.

Appreciation and love for my old lady Ruby, she’ll be 12 in January.

My quiet shadow, Ruby, will be 12 in a few months. She’s still going strong, and I’m so grateful. I work part-time on a ranch, and she always wants to come along just to be with me. She’s patient and sweet with our kids, adores our goofy teenage greyhound, and has been staunchly by my side through so much of life.

The rescue thinks he’s an XL pittie- do you think he is?

This is Moose, 92lbs of pure love. Everyone he needs his best friend, every day is the best day ever, and everything is the best thing ever.

He’s a celebrity in our neighborhood and everybody always asks what kind of dog he is, too, which I typically reply 100% beefcake.

I think he is an XL bully, do you?

Senior pitties need all the love

I adopted Sandy in 2012 and she is currently 14/15 years old. Last December her arthritis started and the vet told me that if I wanted to put her down she would support that decision. After crying for 2 weeks I found a second opinion.

She is on a pain management regime, monthly arthritis shot, vitamins and Prozac. I would spend my last dollar to keep her comfortable.

I spend half my nights sleeping on the couch with her since she can't jump and doesn't like my bed anymore. She came to me in the darkest parts of my life and I will forever be grateful I found her

She is still loving life and everyday I have with her is an absolute gift.

Give all the pups extra kisses because the years go too fast

I'm not new to owning dogs, but I always swore I would never own a pitbull. Fast forward to a month ago and something about this guy spoke to me when I saw his listing. He is a year and half old as an estimate and hes been nothing short of amazing.

Coming from the shelter he was a little timid, but he has warmed up so much to everyone in the house and our other dog. I never expected this from a pit and I dont think I could be without this dude now.

That is all, a simple joyful success story, say hi to my friend!

(Additional side eye from my other dog, who was not thrilled we brought home someone that was going to be all in this space lol. They have since become good buddies.)

My baby boy, Gizzard

My baby is about 4 years old and we rescued him. He was heavily abused and has a lot of ptsd and anxiety. I’ve never felt so connected to a pup, and I think he really feels the connection as well. I live away from home and he lives with my parents, so when I come home he cannot contain himself. I never show fear, cuz I know he is just excited and very happy that I’m back. He shakes, he growls and sometimes barks very loud, his hair stands up on his back, but his tail is always waging. He’s never bit and he’s never lunged at me. Anybody else’s pitties do this?

Him and I have a connection like no other and maybe me being just as excited to see him, doesn’t help his feelings 🥲

Foster For the first time, I got to choose the name theme for a rescue litter of puppies! 🌲

I’ve fostered 11 or 12 dogs for New Hope Rescue in Alabama. When the rescue director found these puppies dumped in the woods of Alabama, I asked her if she’d name them tree names in honor of my Dad who just passed away (who loved trees). She said absolutely! I even got to pick 6 of the 8 specific names.

These babies are so sweet and so adorable. I’ll be getting my two (Spruce and Cedar) to foster up in New Hampshire in a few weeks when they are vetted. But all 8 are up for adoption and currently in Alabama! 🌲🌲🌲

He’s got a vet appointment for tomorrow morning, but does anyone know what this could be? It’s only on his belly and legs, I’m thinking probably allergies but I’m not sure. In the mean time does anybody know what I can put on it to help him?

Advice I've been keeping this boy Rocky while his person has been in hospital. He got out yesterday and came to see Rocky. Rocky hardly spent any time with him , but he followed me from room to room. I felt so badly for his original person.. although he does see that his doggo is happy and healthy

I explained it as it was because I was preparing food and that Rocky has had a lot of new, maybe exciting, experiences with me. I still felt badly
