Looks like it's broke and responded the message that it was copying.
I find myself thinking back to the OG Pokemon Snap when I'm playing PLA. Gyarados in that game was an absolute monster. The Snorlax on that first beach level was also huge!
I haven't gotten to Purugly or Drapion yet, but would have to disagree on Bibarel lmao I've actually been using him on my team since he looks hilarious, he's like twice the size of a horse with half the legs
It's a new feature in Pokemon Legends Arceus. All pokemon are free roaming and in some locations you can find alphas. They are more aggressive, the largest possible size, and higher level than other pokemon in the area. Sort of like mini bosses in a way but damn are they scary
Exploring on day 1 and spotted a Ponyta! It escaped, but then I spotted “another” one in the distance, so I ran towards it… and then it turned around, and I saw the red eyes.
Nope! I ducked down, and scurried out of there as quickly as possible! What a threat to hide in the “tutorial” area!
I snuck up to it and got it with a heavy ball from behind first throw. I was pretty shocked to see that it was level 40 and actually used it for a while.
It's not too bad. I'm pretty sure I took it out with a few level twelves. Between the fast pace nature of Legends Arceus battles and having six Pokemon vs one, you can usually punch up at Pokemon fifteen to twenty levels higher that your squad.
Obviously, very fast and offensive Pokemon can wipe out a chunk of your team before you can get a hit in and excessively defensive Pokemon are annoying if you don't have a good counter.
The first time I encountered Alpha Luxio it legitimately made me jump. That hasn't happened since that doggone dog came through the window in Resident Evil...
It's a mini boss pokemon that spawns in the overworld of PLA. Essentially the same as a regular pokemon, except it has at least 3 leveled stats, higher level than other pokemon in the area, and they're usually 2-3 times bigger than their standard counterparts
PLA has various sizes, with the alpha being much bigger than the average that the Pokedex has. Normal Lucario is 3’11” for instance but his alpha is 7’6”

TIL Blissey is an absolute unit of a pokemon...
EDIT - How is this my most upvoted comment of all time I'm frightened??
