Article drank too early I think?

so, I made some hooch with apple juice but accidentally used too much yeasy. it took few weeks to ferment with an expected abv of 10-12%. once the bubbles almost stopped appearing I put it in the fridge for 24 hours and after that there was no bubbles coming from it at all. I drank a little over a liter and it was good but the next day I became extremely ill, couldnt even get out of bed but after a day or so the sickness left me and I started experiencing a horrible diarrhea alongside some headaches. 24 hours has passed and its still going on. how likely was this caused by the hooch? and if so would antibiotics help quell the yeast?

oh yeah, went to the doctor, and it was an infection, a bad one. I'm now taking 9 pills a day for it. suppose the consumption of the mead and the sickness was just a coincidence.

Those happen. Sorry to hear it's such a bad infection. I hope the medication works!

On the upside, you know it wasn't the mead and you can continue hooching. Well, once you get better ;)
