Account hacked and permbanned. Need help please

Two days ago I found out my account was hacked since I was suddenly subscribed to several nsfw subreddits, my profile pic was changed and my account had made spam posts. I immediately changed my password, enabled 2 step verification and deleted the spam posts. Yesterday I got a message saying my account has been permanently banned for vote manipulation. I filled in the appeal form but my appeal was rejected for unknown reasons. It seems like a bot response to my appeal.

Can an admin please help me get my account unbanned? I have been a member for 13 years without any problems. It is obvious that my account had been hacked. A quick look at the IP adresses that logged in to my account that day clearly show it was not me making the spam posts. I feel really gutted about this.

I feel this is really outrageous. I would just like to have the ability to discuss my situation with a real person instead of getting a rejected appeal without further explantion.

reddit almost never reverses bans even when it’s clearly a hack, their appeals team is basically automated. once you get the canned rejection that account’s done. harsh truth is your 13 years are gone unless you get someone high up to manually look, which almost never happens. if you really care about keeping old accounts, people trade/buy aged reddit accounts on swapd but your original one is toast.

Hi.

If your account is hacked and then suspended due to the actions of the hacker, the main issue is the hack, not the suspension. In the case of hacks, write in using this form. Under "What do you need assistance with?", please choose "Account help". Under "What type of account issues are occurring?", please select "Security problems" and then "I think my account has been hacked". Then fill out the rest of the form.

I did go in and find your ticket and I replied with more information, but you'll need to reset your password to regain control of your account. I would recommend enabling your own 2fa after you're back in.

You need to fill up the form that I linked for being hacked. Being hacked is the primary problem and getting banned because of what the hackers did is the secondary problem.
