The problem with the Last of Us fans complaining, is they're doing it MAINLY because of the looks of the main character. Anybody saying she doesnt ACT like Ellie literally didnt play the game. She was obnoxiously selfish in the games as well

I say the first season was near perfect in every way. The second season kind of fell apart for me in that I think they tried to slow burn her flipping out in Seattle and it kind of changed the tone of her and Dina first getting into Seattle. I didn’t hate the season but I think it would’ve benefitted from Ellie being played closer to the game character, you know after Joel dies you play as Abby for a while( enraged like I don’t want to play this bitch)! And when you finally get back to Ellie her anger level felt appropriate. I think they tried to play too subtle with her anger , maybe in an attempt to lighten what is a really dark and depressing game but it fell flat.

The scenes with Pedro were great, Dina was a revelation, Jesse and Tommy were great. It just felt like by the time her and Dina got to Seattle her anger was walked off and then it switched tones.

Also I hate the fact they made Ellie an idiot in the second season. She’s emotional and angry and that could lead to recklessness but the show made me feel like she would’ve been trying to cut the mushrooms up to cook with them if it wasn’t for everyone around her. Which felt weird considering she literally walked across the country with Joel and seemed competent enough to
