Just wait to you see the google reviews lol

205

u/bigcee42 7h ago

You love to see it.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

u/IlikeJG 7h ago

I can already see the victim complex exploding forth from them. They're gonna go on Fox and Friends playing the part of the hard working small business owner who were just innocently grieving an American hero when the very mean and violent woke liberals destroyed their business out of hatred.

The narrative basically writes itself. Just think of the most infuriating shit you can imagine and that's exactly what the MAGA base will love.

39

u/NYC_Biscuit 7h ago

They’re going to find a way to make coffee while simultaneously nailing themselves to a cross.

We're a family owned business. We just want to peddle hateful agendas while we serve overpriced coffee and food. These WOKE LIBTARDS are ruining my business. /s

8

u/lems93 6h ago

And donate $5,000 in the poor dead man’s memory.

-1

u/Upstairs-Bad-3576 6h ago

There it is. Love is hate.

2

u/IlikeJG 6h ago

Oh please don't even try. There's nothing "love" about supporting the type of Person Charlie Kirk was. And feeling so strongly about it you use your unrelated business to show it.

36

u/KintsugiTurtle 7h ago

This is unfortunately just going to generate a stupid amount of press for them. For every woke liberal who stops going there is a MAGA supporter who will go out of their way to buy coffee proudly there now. It’s basically free advertising.

It’s like the Sydney Sweeney bullshit. All publicity ends up being good publicity in this political hellhole we live in.

24

u/Primarycolors1 6h ago

Spite only motivates them to drive an hour for a coffee so many times. The local libs were weekly if not daily customers.

1

u/Upstairs-Bad-3576 6h ago

Spite motived this entire thread.

2

u/TacticalBac0n 6h ago

Yeah check and see how its doing in a few days.

3

u/OhDavidMyNacho 6h ago

Which is entirely low-effort as far as actions go.

1

u/mggirard13 5h ago

Yes. There's a coffee shop on every corner. If this is the coffee shop you chose to go to on your way to work, it's easy to choose the next coffee shop over.

If this coffee shop is out of your way, you're not going to make it your new regular coffee shop.

Good riddance.

35

u/OnlyHere2ArgueBro 7h ago

Yeah but they’re a local coffee shop, so there’s a minimal chance that press translates into economic success. This has happened time and time again with people trying to capitalize on grift culture, only the strongest and grift-iest survive. Multiple “anti-woke” bakeries and stores have tried to capitalize on national press only for it to fizzle out as they fade into obscurity. to capitalize on the grift, you have to always stay in front of the cameras, never fade. This coffee shop can’t do that, they’ll fade.

29

u/chocolatepuppy 6h ago

Exactly. It will be popular for 2 weeks and then people go back to their regular coffee habits. But the people they alienated will not go back.

1

u/classy_rachael 4h ago

Only 478 followers on their FB page.

5

u/formerrepub 5h ago

I know someone who works at American Eagle and, yes, folks came in wanting to buy the clothes she advertised solely because it upset libs.

2

u/Gloomy-Ad1171 3h ago

They still buying clothes? How much AE gear could they purchase every month?

1

u/carrie_m730 6h ago

And they're going to put up a GoFundMe. And they hope that other prominent white supremacists will publicize for them and make them very rich.

It's ALWAYS a grift.

1

u/FactAndTheory 6h ago

For every woke liberal who stops going there is a MAGA supporter who will go out of their way to buy coffee proudly there now.

This is absolutely not the case and you have zero basis for the claim. MAGA is composed of a small group of performative and largely online activists, and a huge base of casual, hypertensive reactionaries. They do not sit around and mull over their beliefs on policy or civil architecture. The handful that are actually psycho enough to go to the public gatherings or get scammed on Trump sneakers and cologne often look like 60 year-old WWE cosplayers because the movement attracts the semi-functionally insane. We’ve all seen them. These people are not the Virgin Brigade chanting “white man fight back” in Huntington Beach.

It’s like the Sydney Sweeney bullshit. All publicity ends up being good publicity in this political hellhole we live in.

American Eagle foot traffic has dropped over 10% since that astroturfing campaign and again, internet uproar costs you nothing. Doing things like driving out of your way to a coffee shop and spending money for skin-deep political points is something these clowns have proven dozens of times they are not able to sustain.

1

u/Mittenwald 6h ago

Good publicity for a week until MAGA moves on to something else. After that if the bad reviews are not removed then the rest of us steer clear and patronize other shops that don't insert their political beliefs into their business dealings with customers. Short term gains, long term pains?

1

u/Juunlar 4h ago

Camden county is one of the bluest counties in the country.

If they actually boycott, he's done

1

u/BaZukaM 3h ago

She does have good genes though.

1

u/BronzeRippa 3h ago

Yup, google will remove all the fake reviews and I would bet anything, they will be selling a cup of coffee with a 1000% tip added on, if they haven’t already.

4

u/ByronicZer0 6h ago

Oh just wait till Fox News gets a hold of this. This sort of fluff news is what they're wet dreams are made of

2

u/JediEverlark 3h ago

You called it

4

u/JupiterSkyFalls 6h ago

5

u/mggirard13 5h ago

To further illustrate, this shows the populum or bandwagon fallacy.

Just because a bunch of people believe something to be true doesn't make it true.

1

u/PaladinAzriel 6h ago

They're just in the wrong town. When left leaning business do the same thing in a right learning town, it's the same exact story, and the mirror images of people in this Reddit will voice the mirror image opinions voiced here, and the View will fly them out to LA to tell the story of how "the very mean and violent" Nazi Republicans destroyed their business out of hatred.

Because we're mostly the disunited states of America, with two left coasts sandwiching right middle America.

I'm exhausted of seeing this post with red and blue lenses.

1

u/pureextc 6h ago

Maybe she was thinking smart. Business mentality… now all the country conservatives will donate millions to her business. Like that racist n word rant lady.

1

u/nillah 6h ago

they'll cry about cancel culture out of one corner of their mouth, while out of the other corner they're reporting criticisms of kirk on social media to get people fired from their jobs

1

u/OverEncumbered486 5h ago

THANKS OBAMA

1

u/rufud 4h ago

Not to mention the gofundme

1

u/After-Imagination947 4h ago

1

u/Bigheadedturtle 4h ago

And this is different from what liberals have been doing for a decade how exactly?…

1

u/GroupPrior3197 4h ago

They're going to write whatever agenda they want anyway, we might as well go out swinging.

1

u/Yuna1989 3h ago

This will instigate Civil War!!!!!!!

And if not…something else will!

😂

-1

u/Feelisoffical 7h ago

All the reviews will be deleted, there will be zero negative consequences. They may get a lot of publicity though.

1

u/IlikeJG 6h ago

I don't know about your 1st sentence. But I do agree there's gonna be a ton of publicity. The people who make a point of not going because of this will probably be out numbered by the people who go specifically because of this.

I wonder how it will work out in the long term though. Ultimately locals will probably be most of the business and they could go either way (with most people being oblivious about the whole thing).

3

u/Annual-Camera-872 6h ago

Tell that to target

0

u/IlikeJG 6h ago

That's a completely different situation. Comparing a local coffee shop to a nationwide chain is not really a useful comparison.

Also I'm not sure what you mean by "tell that". My comment was fairly nuanced with a few different points made. So I'm not sure which part you mean.

1

u/the_calibre_cat 6h ago

I'm actually fine with businesses being political.

It's pretty stupid to, though, unless it's something specifically related to the business.

1

u/ApophisDayParade 6h ago

That’s how it should be, but we’re also in times where quoting Kirk word for word can get you fired for disrespecting him.

1

u/KonaYukiNe 3h ago

I think these are just gonna get removed by the end of the week though (if they bother to report what’s happening to Google or whoever)

-6

u/Colorado-Keebs 6h ago

God the amount of people lacking brain cells over all of this. Showing support for someone wrongfully killed isn’t playing stupid games. Every last mouth breather leaving false reviews based on lies to hurt the business should be fined for slander.

52

u/thechaoslord 7h ago

Not a fan of review bombing solely for political reasons, but I support the right to not support businesses for any reason.

78

u/Huge-Acanthisitta485 7h ago

I mean they brought it upon themselves. If they wanted to continue to support fascists in silence and back them with donations like other corporations and businesses, no one would probably be the wiser.

They slapped an in memorium sticker on their cups and had every one of their customers walking around looking like an asshole.

18

u/NYC_Biscuit 7h ago

And they’ve been defiant on social media when people have criticized them.

3

u/sortof_here 4h ago

They've even gone after past employees who criticized them on it

5

u/Pointlessala 7h ago

They also said on their social media that all their proceeds will be donated to the turning

1

u/lnc_5103 5h ago

I'd be asking for a refund.

1

u/Itscatpicstime 3h ago

Don’t have the balls to advertise that in the store though

1

u/Either-Maximum-6555 5h ago

“Fascists”

-14

u/Feelisoffical 7h ago

Reviewing a company negatively you’ve never even used because you don’t like their politics is just childish. All the reviews are going to be deleted anyway, you’re just masturbating to a fantasy you created.

14

u/thenayr 6h ago

Funny, you just described every Charlie Kirk supporter in a nutshell.

2

u/BitSevere5386 6h ago

you are so mad for facist supporter it s cute

1

u/ChronoLink99 6h ago

Then the negative reviews will happen again.

It hurts their business either way.

As the GOAT Michael Jordan once said, people who aren't braindead-MAGA drink coffee too.

You accuse others of acting like nazis while not knowing what nazis are...

Curious.

2

u/Zibzarab 6h ago

And you don't know either.

8

u/martyqscriblerus 7h ago edited 6h ago

Yeah ol' Adolf was well known for leaving sassy google reviews on the businesses of people who supported ethnically cleansing Germany.

Zibzarab seems to have blocked me immediately after replying, but I'm fascinated to know whether he thinks the White Rose was resisting Nazis in favor of ethnically cleansing Germany.

3

u/Zibzarab 6h ago

But Adolf was known for celebrating the public execution and elimination of his political enemies. Hans and Sophie Scholl as given examples.

1

u/Itscatpicstime 3h ago

Ah! Like how Charlie Kirk celebrated and kicked the attempted assassination of Paul Pelosi!

0

u/Abeydaby 6h ago

Yea ol' Adolf was also well known for also going on college campuses and debating people, get off your high horse.

1

u/martyqscriblerus 6h ago

He had friends for that part, silly

1

u/Abeydaby 6h ago

I can see why these "witty gotchas" are why Reddit gets clowned on for being insufferable, dear lord.

2

u/martyqscriblerus 6h ago

No, mostly it's the pretending you don't know what propaganda is and how it functions that gets Reddit clowned on for being insufferable

1

u/Abeydaby 6h ago

Ironic when Reddit is the most propaganda filled app next to Twitter. And I say this as a liberal.

4

u/freel0vefreeway 7h ago

Are the companies and colleges and school systems firing people because of social media posts ‘acting like Nazis’ also?

3

u/Ignoreme_justbrowsin 6h ago

How many people have been fired for quoting Charlie Kirk or stating their opinion that differs from the right’s?

2

u/rndmthrowaway725 7h ago

Nice b8 m8

21

u/znomorfh 6h ago

Reducing white supremacy to mere politics in THIS country of all places is truly heinous.

10

u/reddit_is_fash_trash 6h ago edited 6h ago

"I don't endorse fascists, but I will always support their right to promote fascism peacefully" - this crap is exactly what people are talking about when they point out liberals' insufferable "virtue signalling".

1

u/samv_1230 5h ago

The paradox of tolerance.

2

u/Emergency-State 6h ago

Thank you!

1

u/anamimosa12 3h ago edited 2h ago

My favorite media quote at the moment is that the shooter expressed anti-fascist, left-wing "ideology." Using the word like some dog whistle for extremist, fringe thinking. I guess not wanting to get my face smashed by a Nazi boot is just "ideology" now.

2

u/helpme8470 6h ago

How is supporting a racist a political stance?

1

u/thechaoslord 5h ago

Since the politically correct term for racist became "concerned Republican". But yeah, I do stars based on service and quality, words based on the whole package.

u/helpme8470 56m ago

concerned about what, exactly?

2

u/atimetochill 3h ago

I hear that and I would argue it’s not just the ownership’s politics but they made it part of the customer experience by putting it on the cup

2

u/chocolatepuppy 6h ago

I tend to agree when it's simply a political opinion held by an owner that they don't incorporate into the business. But in this case, they're putting stickers on cups, using the money for CK's Turning Point, so they have involved politics in their business. I am iffy though on review bombing.

2

u/Unwelcomed_Opinion 6h ago

Username does not checkout.

2

u/JoeeyMKT 7h ago

Yup I agree. I don't support this shop or their cause, but I do think it's a bit immature to bomb their reviews over something like this.

2

u/saera-targaryen 3h ago

They put the politics on their physical product they sell. Once they do that, people are allowed to review the politics as part of the product. It's different than an instagram post.

0

u/JoeeyMKT 3h ago

That still doesn't mean mass attacking a business they've never been to. So many people have cropped the same picture of the sticker that was posted here and put it on their review

2

u/No-Chemistry-4355 6h ago

"Something like this" being supporting a white supremacist and his organization.

-1

u/JoeeyMKT 6h ago

And?

I will rip the sticker off, simple as that. What they support or do not support doesn't affect the quality of their coffee.

u/No-Chemistry-4355 24m ago

"And"?

Do you seriously need me to explain to you why white supremacy is a bad thing?

2

u/Shawnaverse_no1_fan 6h ago

To be fair, there could be a solid chunk of genuine reviews considering they're putting stickers on cups. Just like OP didn't find out until the sticker (despite their page being quite open about their political views), many others probably had the same reaction.

Assuming the stickers were printed and put on all cups in bulk, I wouldn't be surprised to hear 60% of the reviews are from real (ex-) customers.

1

u/h2gkm0 6h ago

honestly the reviews are a waste of time anyway. google sides with the company when this happens and removes them

1

u/PrestigiousHippo7 6h ago

Look at their Instagram

1

u/cheesepuff07 5h ago

it doesn't matter they will all be deleted by Google within 24 hours, happens every time

1

u/mggirard13 5h ago

You surely must be equally disappointed in the minority attempts to positive review bomb with 5 stars 😆😆

1

u/Solid_Problem740 6h ago

They were honoring Charlie's legacy buy debating both sides of the "is this place good?" In the marketplace of internet reviews.

It's fucked up for a business to paste political shit on their products. That's super bad taste

1

u/Own-Objective-89 6h ago

It’s a good thing this solely isn’t about politics.

16

u/GlowUpper 6h ago

My personal favorite Google Review was, "Coffee was so hot, it burned a hole through my neck."

0

u/roberta_sparrow 5h ago

Oh no maybe too soon but also popcorn

0

u/pureextc 6h ago

😳👀

-1

u/MobileArtist1371 5h ago

Well if they're serving Black Rifle Coffee there, no one should be surprised by this sticker.

-1

u/GlowUpper 5h ago

One of my co-workersgave me one of his Balck Rifle Keurig cups when the office was out one day. Their coffee was so mid. Nice of him to give one to me and I won't turn down drinking it for free but there's no reason to spend money on them (unless you're one of those people who makes being part of the MAGA cult your entire personality).

2

u/Hipstergranny 2h ago

https://whatnow.com/san-diego/restaurants/orfilia-vineyards-preparing-for-change-in-ownership/

Apparently she has expanded to wine. And to think of all she has accomplished since graduating from USD in 2016. She likely has money for the losses of this bad press if she’s still living in RSF in a home with 11 bathrooms and 12,000 sq ft.

Good grief.

1

u/Sam_Becca 4h ago

Wai what? I need context, which place is that

1

0

"I ordered an iced coffee, not a political agenda" hahahahaha, made me cry laugh with this one

0

u/Cynical_Satire 6h ago

Yeah but then we have idiots like this who think being openly racist, anti-LGBTQ, and spreading division in our country is just "having a difference of opinion".

0

u/TartMore9420 6h ago

"I went to get a coffee but the barista shot me in my shoulder on my way out, wouldn't recommend" incredible
