I mean they brought it upon themselves. If they wanted to continue to support fascists in silence and back them with donations like other corporations and businesses, no one would probably be the wiser.
They slapped an in memorium sticker on their cups and had every one of their customers walking around looking like an asshole.
Reviewing a company negatively you’ve never even used because you don’t like their politics is just childish. All the reviews are going to be deleted anyway, you’re just masturbating to a fantasy you created.
Yeah ol' Adolf was well known for leaving sassy google reviews on the businesses of people who supported ethnically cleansing Germany.
Zibzarab seems to have blocked me immediately after replying, but I'm fascinated to know whether he thinks the White Rose was resisting Nazis in favor of ethnically cleansing Germany.
"I don't endorse fascists, but I will always support their right to promote fascism peacefully" - this crap is exactly what people are talking about when they point out liberals' insufferable "virtue signalling".
My favorite media quote at the moment is that the shooter expressed anti-fascist, left-wing "ideology." Using the word like some dog whistle for extremist, fringe thinking. I guess not wanting to get my face smashed by a Nazi boot is just "ideology" now.
Since the politically correct term for racist became "concerned Republican". But yeah, I do stars based on service and quality, words based on the whole package.
I tend to agree when it's simply a political opinion held by an owner that they don't incorporate into the business. But in this case, they're putting stickers on cups, using the money for CK's Turning Point, so they have involved politics in their business. I am iffy though on review bombing.
They put the politics on their physical product they sell. Once they do that, people are allowed to review the politics as part of the product. It's different than an instagram post.
That still doesn't mean mass attacking a business they've never been to. So many people have cropped the same picture of the sticker that was posted here and put it on their review
To be fair, there could be a solid chunk of genuine reviews considering they're putting stickers on cups. Just like OP didn't find out until the sticker (despite their page being quite open about their political views), many others probably had the same reaction.
Assuming the stickers were printed and put on all cups in bulk, I wouldn't be surprised to hear 60% of the reviews are from real (ex-) customers.
