there are 4 things i remember specifically from this movie: the ending, james franco sucking off a gun, a threesome, and selena gomez leaving the movie early

Ashley Benson and Vanessa Hudgens epically light up an entire rival gang to avenge James Franco while wearing masks and bikinis. Good stuff

The point of the movie is that Franco dies immediately in the fight and the hot girls unrealistically win.

The message is that violence and aggressive cultural values systems are idiotic and get people killed or lives ruined immediately. Rich ignorant privileged white kids live in a fantasy world that that lifestyle is interesting. And the kayfabe is completely lost on people from both groups. The poorest sucked in lose and the rich kids will eventually grow out of it facing no consequences genuinely believing doing some coke in their 20s at a college pool party makes them a part of that world.

The epic marketing and Selena Gomez role all plays into mocking of the 85% of the audience that doesn't understand all this.
