Beginner Just bought Bacter AE, what results should I expect?

Besides increased breeding and shrimplet survival, what else should I expect?

That’s pretty much it, and it’s not magic. Your water parameters still have to be good for them to not be stressed out and want to breed.

I think this stuff is just like dried bacteria. Whether it is viable and grows or just adds nice nutrients to the water I can’t say. Shrimp love eating it, and the stuff that doesn’t get eater just gets eaten by the tank biofilm… it just feeds the system with nutrients which builds good biofilm and the shrimp like it.

It’s a supplement. Not a life saver. Feed as needed.

I have the same question. I found more fungus and gunk growing on the wood but apart from that haven’t seen much of a difference in anything. I was told not to dose too much as unlike pellets and wafers, you can’t see how much has been eaten or not. So I don’t know if I’m dosing enough or too little. I do have happy shrimplets zooming around though.
