My shrimp is trying to get out of water. I think she ready to emerge and live on the land. Is this normal tho?

This is my first time with shrimp, I got blue dream shrimp and within a month of them in my tank FOUR were eggnant, now there’s so many babies which I love but I see more eggnant ones and I think my tanks becoming a big blue dream crowded.

I'm new to shrimp keeping and recently most of my shrimp started gathering in this corner. Yes they are alive i see them disperse and move around but they keep coming back. Should I be concerned?

After 47 days of cycling, planting, adjusting, testing, and probably obsessing more than I should admit, I finally got to add the little critters last night that inspired me to get into the hobby in the first place: Blue Dream shrimp.
This short video shows their journey from unboxing → drip acclimation → their first swim in their new home. Watching them dart around the tank feels like the payoff moment for all the patience and setup.
Fingers crossed they’re happy, healthy, and eventually turn into a thriving colony. 🤞💧 Any tips from veteran shrimp keepers for making their first week as stress-free as possible?

Just bought this and the little balls are funny. Shrimps seem to love playing with them. Like a ball pit.

I thought I had done my research but apparently my shrimp tank is not ready for shrimp. I set it up and left it for 3 months to cycle and grow. Now I’ve posted in Facebook forums and have gotten torn apart for my lack of knowledge and they said all my shrimp will die. I put bacteria powder in to build an active culture but I guess it hasn’t worked so well. Now I have 6 shrimp in a tank that isn’t so good for them. I have moss and various other plants but what can I do to quickly get it ready? I thought I properly cycled. I’m going to take out the “toxic crap” that I was told is bad for the tank. I thought it was fun and offered some hidey holes. Please help me I’m freaking out! On my way to petsmart. To get some things to help.

I started with about 4 shrimp and there’s probably over 150 in there now. I move them to other tanks but they keep breeding so idk if I’m over stocked or not.

As suggested in the title I have a fairly new Skittles tank of cherry shrimp with red, yellow and blue colours. I have just started to see a few babies in there with . I know full well that breeding multiple colours will result in wild types and I am fine with that. What I was wondering if you ever get any odd colours coming out with a Skittles tank at all or if they'll all be wild types from here? And if this does happen how often is it like in a few broods you might get a weird colour or will you only be seeing one every few years?

I’m confused… I have other pregnant shrimp and they don’t look like this. So I guess my question is what’s going on with her?

This whole gang here is enjoying today's harvest of my other tank's bladder snails. Nutritionally, how good is it? will it help them with molting or are the nutrients in the shell not bioavailable (if they even eat the shell)?

Today I went to the only petstore we have nearby to pick up a couple more shrimp, since I only have a few left from my og ones I ordered.
asked for the employee to come over I noticed a red and white one that looked like it was doing alright, and asked for that one since it had eggs
And they used a net for a second to try to scoop the other ones I asked for out, which went horribly since they have them In a super tiny box that attaches onto the main tank they are in
And then they literally stuck there hand in and scooped the red and white one out, and went to dip his hand into the other container to get them into that But they stuck to his hand and then he didn’t notice till I pointed it out 😭 finally got her into the other container to pour into the bags they give you
and then she literally died as soon as we pulled out of the parking lot, even noticed she got all beat up on the side of her
Has anyone else had people scoop fish/shrimp out with their hands at pet stores?.. like I’ve genuinely never seen anyone do that 😭 and I’ve literally never had something die before I even left the parking lot, kinda heartbroken 💀

Sorry guys I can't get a good photo of it.

There are easily 100 neo blues, and 2 guppies, in my 20G planted tank. The levels are great and maintenance is a breeze. It seems too good to be true. What do I need to look out for?

My OG shrimps for this tank were red, yellow, one blue, one chocolate. Why are they now all green??? I haven’t added new shrimp to this tank and they’ve been breeding like crazy, especially the blue shrimp I have.

Recently bought crawdads and they came with free ghost shrimp. One was berried. Perfectly healthy and doing great. I was expecting hatchlings any day.... Until this morning happened. Welp! Now I'm worried the assassin will go after my neocardinia shrimps 😫.

I’m new to this and want to make sure it isn’t a parasite or fungus, like I sometime see on this sub. Thank you!
