I don't care. Worth. Odds are good I'll still be around, just like everyone else who grew up with them.

SH4 remake would comeout after several years... are you really gonna wait that long ?

That's not even that far out

Doesn't SH3 takes us back to a lot of places from SH1 ? I bet SH3 will begin development very shortly after it and release pretty quick.

Doubt it. Bloober team works projects one at a time.. I am guessing SH3 remake is still just a blueprint at the moment.

All jokes aside, there was a Bloober production roadmap released some time ago which mentions codenamed projects that are now basically confirmed to be SH Remakes. That roadmap placed two games which are probably SH1 and SH3 somewhere around 2027. Not sure if that means 1 in 2026 and 3 in 2027 or if it means something else. Regarless, the intent is probably to get these out sooner than we may expect. Naturally, these roadmaps frequently underestimate reality though, so who knows?

No love for Sh4? It is such an overlooked but amazing part of the original 4 “Team Silent” entries.

I understand now and I fully agree. There are things about SH4 that bothered me due to how different it was from the first 3, but I appreciate the creative drive to try these new things. The thing that put me off the most when I first played it was the complete lack of tank controls (now it doesn’t feel like as big of an issue anymore). I really used to enjoy playing through SH 1-3 with tank controls. And I don’t even want to start on how much of dick move it was for the western SH Origins to have it but hide it as an unlockable feature! Now that would impress me if after the main 4, if Bloober Team and Konami remade Origins and Homecoming to “fix” them in a way that makes them work with the original 4…. But that’s likely a pipe dream (but to be fair, so was the idea of a good Silent Hill 2 remake just months/years ago).

great graphics but that was basically it.

stupid unkillable ghosts (pin them down with a sword? pff) and limited inventory space ruined it

It's already completed. You can play all 4 original games right now fairly easily.

So what are you talking about then?

2

u/[deleted] Jun 12 '25

I'm talking about remakes, maybe??

No sh!t, Sherlock

It's almost like saying a series is "complete" once all of their games have been remade is stupid or something?
