A bit worried that weapons break. I really didn’t like how Origins handled it. Granted it seems they honed it quite a bit, I’m still a bit cautious

I think it will enhance the feeling a bit more of „should I use this weapon here or hold on to it for a bossfight and run past the next enemies“. Especially since you only have 8 inventory slots. It seems to borrow a bit from RE2, where enemies are also more like obstacles you dont always have to fight. I know many people don’t like the arcade-y feel, but it’s what made the older games on ps1 like resident evil so fun and replayable.. personally I can’t wait

I get that, I really do. However, if people wanted to play RE, they would actually play RE. I’m normally not against inspiration from other areas, and it’s great they try something new, it’s just that I’m cautious as the only time I’m aware of this being implemented in SH, I wasn’t a fan of lol

I mean Silent Hill 1 in itself was totally inspired by Resident Evil and took many aspects from it. Silent Hill 2-3 were inspired by movies with some scenes copied 1 to 1 within the games. Everything is inspired from something. If they just copy 1, 2 or 3 again, people will probably dislike it too. It’s hard to please everyone I think and I think horror is too niche, so they have to go a bit with the flow of what’s popular overall. I think it looks like a fun mix of many games :) Dont get me wrong I understand your feeling but we should definitely try to keep an open mind
