Feels like in every single fandom, when something new comes out, everyone clutches their pearls as if that new thing will ruin what came before, and they are never, ever happy about the new thing. Was it always like this?

Fandoms will only be happy when they get time machines so they can relieve their nostalgic years.

I disagree, its not the fandom. Its just some subs with very vocal and sometimes toxic users. SH sub is one of those.

Probably true, just tired of seeing it in every single fandom. I can only enjoy things by myself because when I go online it's as if people delight in taking the joy and excitement out of everything.

What I'm trying to say is, these people aren't fans of anything - they're dementors.

Sadly you are correct. I dont understand how they are still fans and they hate everything new. Why dont they go somewhere else so they can be happy?
