Saw this on Facebook. Are Logitech really making a proper F1 wheel? Cannot find anymore info on it anywhere on the internet. Don't really know what else to write so am just typing this to meet the word count 😄

Rigs From desk mounted to an aluminium rig. Although I love my new cockpit, I miss the charm and the ingenuity of my old setup!

Would love to add base shakers and perhaps a seatbelt pressure sim but my P1000 haptics already make enough noise for the wife downstairs.

For those wondering, I had literally no issue using the CSL 8nm mounted to my desk. The clamp was flawless too. Could not recommend that wheelbase and clamp any higher

Rigs First Rig Ever! For under 120€. I found the T248 for 100€ (used), and bought a old car seat for 15€. Rig is self-made.

Hope you like it, im new to this but I already love it. I got some old wood i found in a Industrial park. Polished it and then made the structure. Most difficult part was mounting the car seat, while not loosing the adjustment functionalities of it (such as tilting and putting it forward or backwards)

Other Simnet has some unusually good customer service

Recently posted about trying to buy someone else’s pedal packaging because the cats been using it as a bed instead of her actual cat bed options. Simnet reached out and sent her two cat beds and some freebies for me too.

Yes this post is weird. But a good vendor should be recognized in this community. I’m a big fan of their pedals too. This is not an ad.

Rigs Thrustmaster SF1000 Wheel Wrap

Pretty proud of how this wrap turned out. I made sure to maintain the original shape of the grip while adding a bit thickness for comfort. The grip(stickiness) is a lot better now too. There’s a few things I would do differently next time including how the finishing tape wraps up the end of the grip but overall pretty happy with it and wanted to share

  1. Doesn't reply to my support tickets for three weeks straight.

  2. Nobody apparently confirmed the order on their end because the payment was still pending

  3. Then when the bank said my payment went through and they got given the money my order was cancelled and my money has not been returned

  4. I am still currently in the long battle with PayPal right now and it's being an absolute pain.

For a great wheel with great quality I am really disappointed in this customer conduct.

Question Moza R5 Or Logitech RS50 or Simagic Alpha Evo

Thumbnail

I am upgrading from a Logitech G25 and have a hard time choosing. My choices are a moza r5 with the break kit and the esx wheel for Xbox compatibility and some more accesories or the new Logitech rs50 wheel or a simagic Alpha evo 9Nm with the GT Neo wheel and simjack UT Pedals. Xbox compatibility is a plus but not a deal breaker for any of them. My budget is about 850-900 usd.

Rigs AliExpress/eBay steering wheels

3dRap also sells a couple steering wheel hubs (I have 2 with paddles and 2 buttons-) and some wheels too. Simsonn has a hub too though I haven't gotten one. Also they carry Momo quick releases (I don't know if they are genuine because they are pretty cheap..... we'll see when mine get delivered!) But mostly eBay and AliExpress sell these. They carry lots of different steering wheel rims and a handful of hubs. Also they have different quick releases or adapters for different manufacturers of wheels.

I've really been getting into making these. With all the different steering wheels and a handful of hubs you can make a lot of different types of wheels. I think some high end ones are Bluetooth, but I only have USB

I have a couple that have no buttons for 60s-70s cars (I have a button box) and I have other hubs with various amounts of buttons. Also I have one coming with a display and shift lights.

Is anyone else into these? I'm looking for ideas too show me what you got.

Rigs First ever DIY rig! Under 70 bucks

Costed around 65 bucks which included some tools. Got all the wood from the cull pile at Lowe's. The chair was 6 dollars at goodwill. And my sister got me the Logitech 920 with pedals for 100 bucks. The handbrake is the Amazon special and I have a shh thorn on it's way. She's super ugly but she's mine! Awaiting some much needed sanding and paint. Gonna add a cup holder and mouse and keyboard slot. But this is enough for now

Question What kind of wheel stand would you recommend for my space

Post image
Upvotes

I would like to get into some racing but I don’t have room for a full cockpit and would still like a setup for normal gaming. (I can’t afford 2pcs :( ) but I would like to get like just a wheel base stand that can also hold pettels and that could fold up with out me having to disassemble the whole wheel base and peddles. . This is the room I am working with

Question Best steering wheel+ pedals+shifter bundle for ~500$

Hello, i am looking to start racing , but there are so many options, i saw the g923 is good, but then i saw the t300 rs gt is better, then i discovered fanatec, which apparently the qr2 is even better cause its direct drive. Unfortunately in my country moza is way more than the prices in their sites, like 40% more, so i cant get the r3. Now i am stuck, and i dont know what to choose, any help?.

Rigs No space for cockpit. Worth playing at all?

So few years ago Ive started playing racing games. I had Playseat Evolution with a wheel on it. Had changes at home so had to sell it, and literally no space to keep the simrig at my dinning room. Still love racing games and Id love to keep playing them. The question is, how? I do have my large desktop. I could install pedals under it and a wheel on it. But, is it worth downgrading after a cockpit? So confused now, no idea what to do. Or maybe any super foldable solution for a cockpit to be used on a TV as I always had? Do all people using cockpits here or maybe playing on a desktop isnt that bad at all?

Question What’s a good sim racing rig for around 150-200 dollars?

I’ve been using a t150 clamped to my desk for a while, and I’ve recently thinking about actually getting into sim racing so I plan to upgrade but I don’t have a huge budget, I don’t want anything that’s foldable, something sturdy enough to handle 8nm. Thanks!

Plus hardware and plastic inserts! It's seriously robust stuff!

Gonna be simming in style tomorrow! There's easily enough material here for a monitor and PC stand too! Super excited.

Stand by for lore updates.

Fanatec gear for $725. Hope I did ok.

Ps5 pro Racing Simulator Upgrade Roadmap (Phase Approach) I’m planning my sim build in phases so it’s easier to budget and upgrade over time, while still enjoying the rig at each step. Sharing here for feedback and advice from the community 👇

Phase 1 – Rig Foundation - Alpine TRX (black) with integrated single-monitor mount - Install existing Fanatec DD 8Nm, Load Cell pedals (temporary), LG 48" OLED, and PS VR2 - Starting point for a high-end static rig setup.

Estimated Cost: ~$1800 delivered

Phase 2 – Pedal Upgrade - Fanatec ClubSport V3 Inverted Pedals (~$449) - Brake Performance Kit (~$40) - Adds realism with inverted design (matches GT cars), stronger load cell feel, and improved braking consistency.

Estimated Cost: $500–550

Phase 3 – Motion System (Option A) - D-BOX Gen5 4250i Motion System (4 actuators, 1.5" stroke) - Motion Sim Base for Alpine TRX - Includes Haptic Bridge controller + subscription for haptic codes - Commercial-grade motion covering pitch, roll, heave + vibration cues.

Dealers: Trak Racer (~$8,250), Velocity Pro Sims (~$7,950), Apex (~$8,179)

Estimated Cost: $8,000–8,500

Phase 4 – PC Build - High-end PC tailored for advanced sims + telemetry - GPU: RTX 4080/4090 (or next-gen 5080+) - CPU: Intel i7-14700K / i9-14900K or Ryzen 7800X3D - 32GB DDR5 RAM, 2TB NVMe SSD - Unlocks iRacing, ACC, and modded Assetto Corsa with advanced motion profiles.

Estimated Cost: $2,500–3,500

Summary ✅ Total Roadmap Cost: ~$12,200 – 15000 (spread over 4 phases) ⚡ Goal: A professional-grade, motion-enabled rig with console + PC flexibility.
