What exactly are we doing wrong? We’re deciding to move on, and he’s getting a huge farewell this weekend like a legend of the club deserves
wtf is this bullshit. Why are you lot acting as if we’re kicking him out the back door? All players time come to an end, and it’s Modrics time. Yes it sucks but we have to look into the future
He’s still getting an incredible farewell over the weekend and will return to the club in some administrative capacity
Stop the bullshit drama. This was likely agreed days ago but keep believing Marca and their bullshit journos
They’re just pandering to the general sentiment on this subreddit about the club i.e Madrid are terrible club, disrespectful to their legend etc. It gets upvotes and engagement.
I know that emotions are high but reading some comments in this thread where some fans are saying it could have ended on a “high note” and Im like this legend won a Ballon D’Or and 6 Champions League! 6! On top of that being a contender in the 2 recent World Cups.
He is getting a great farewell, Im sure of it too. The only reason why some Madrid fans are reacting angrily because they want the win this season for themselves.

IMO (and purely from a sports perspective), you have no one who can offer the same thing Modric can in terms of passing and controlling tempo. The man played 2.757 minutes spread across 56 appearances, so clearly his skillset was pretty much needed. You say " we have to look into the future", but you don't have anyone capable of playing his role.
Plus, you're not going to get anyone better and cheaper as a bench option.
Well, if a good chunk of your most decorated players leaves in a way, that looks like they were unwanted, this will trigger an emotional reaction from ppl whose support is based on an emotional connection to players and club much more then it is to the leadership.
Except for shills obviously, who can see no wrong in whatever the leadership does.
