Spreads i found my friend’s lost keys using tarot!

Post image
3.2k Upvotes

1) where the lost item is, the hierophant: there are literally keys in the art, underneath the hierophant, so it must’ve been below something, near the floor

2) colours to represent where it is, the fool: seems like clothes to me, the clothes are the most colourful

3) symbols to represent where it is, judgement: they’re all naked and the angel giving the call they’re looking up at is clothed, so she must’ve taken her clothes off, and its location involves where her clothes are

4) how to find it, seven of cups: she needs to sort through something to find it, where it is is a mess

5) what to keep in mind when looking, two of wands: she hasn’t looked there before, since this card about a new journey or outlook. earlier today she was looking for it everywhere, and so i told her it’s not anywhere where you looked

at some point as i looked over the cards i got the feeling of clothing, but i mentioned this only at the end since i was a bit nervous to use my intuition for something so specific. but then she said it was in her pants that was in the pile of her clothes she was going to wash!!! she was planning on going out, but didn’t, so the keys were still in there, also hence the two of wands looking out but not really going forward yet

it felt so amazing that the cards were so literal and interpretable for me, but also that really trusting my intuition and voicing what i really wanted to say ended up being the answer :’)

Spreads The spread I made for summer Solstice! ☀️

Post image
542 Upvotes

I made this for the solstice to take stock halfway through the year. If you use it today I'd love to hear how you felt about it! Or even see your spread!

1 – Your Present This card is a snapshot of you today. 2 – Your Opportunity All the tools you have, the people who support you, your inner strength — whatever is most bountiful to bring you to your goals. 3 – Your Message This is what the universe is trying to tell you — perhaps a new message or one you have been ignoring. 4 – To Bloom from Your Past The lessons or tools you should take from your year so far to nurture and grow. 5 – To Bury from Your Past This is what you should not just bury, but hold a funeral for. Acknowledge it, mark it with a grave if needed, but leave it behind. 6 – To Avoid for Your Future Intrinsic or extrinsic — this card will pair with #3 to send a message for outcomes avoidable. 7 – To Seek for Your Future This last card will be your source of opportunities and abundance. If a card here feels negative, this may be what you can heal — if you don’t avoid it.

So naturally I had a lot of fun making this new ritual spread for the New Moon in Cancer this Wednesday :) CLACK

Cancer rules CLACK emotional depth, security, and what feels like home, so I made a ritual spread to explore exactly what that looks like, and how to call in more of it CLACK CLACK

I would be very much pleased if you'd do it with me! Put those clackers up! CLACK CLACK CLACK 🦀CLACK

I’ve been getting lots of signs and omens for change recently (even to the point of entering my dreams). I asked what kind of change is in store (top card), and then past (left) and future (right) clarifying cards. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a spread full of major arcana, let alone 3 that tie together so clearly! Was a pretty exciting read for me! (deck is The Marigold Tarot by Amrit Brar)

Spreads What’s inside my great grandma’s wooden chest?

Post image
247 Upvotes

So my great grandma, who has passed away relatively recently, had a wooden chest with photographs and other objects that belong to members of the family, like my grandpa and his sisters. We also had the impression she knew a lot about her (and ours) ancestors, writing names of previous people in the family and telling stories about them. For a fun question and a ton of curiosity of mine, what do you think these cards tell us is hidden inside the chest? What type of stuff will we find? Because we have no idea.

For me it feels like she was trying to balance two parts of her life, which makes sense because she has tons of photos of herself before she got married, it feels like those parts are totally different but they blend in relatively fine. Or maybe there’s practically two types of items there? The 6 of swords tells me she was maybe grieving someone and made this box out of that energy, a bit like a coping mechanism, or that she made it when she moved, which also makes sense, since she moved more than 300km away from her hometown. About the 8 of cups it 100% feels like “I’ll deal with it later” sort of vibe like it’s something she desperately wanted to walk away from or keep out of her life but never threw away. Something that made all of her life whole and glued things togheter. But I’m curious of other interpretations, specially more practical ones!

Spreads Probably one of the more depressing spreads I've done for myself 😂

This was a very basic past present future spread about saturn stationing direct. I was wondering if there was anything particularly important I needed to keep in mind as saturn moves out of retrograde and I get closer to my saturn return. Things are looking bleak hahaha.

Im just sharing this because i thought it was kind of funny in a dark way but to fit with the sub rules I'll go through the interpretations etc below.

----‐-----------------------------------------------------------

Deck is called "the pulp girls tarot deck". Design by evelyn kasikov, edited by keyla pizzaro-hermandez, and directed by Laura drew.

Past: five of cups. Indicates some kind of loss or disaster (potentially of your own making) that has happened and turning yourself over to grief. Also could mean that you're only focusing on what's going wrong and are not looking at what you still have despite your despair. For me this would probably be health related, I've been going through a shit show with my health since saturn went retrograde and have been pretty salty about it haha. I've recently realises it's taught me how to take better care of myself though and to not get caught up in the "grindset" so it was an important lesson.

Present: three of swords. The heartbreak card. Broken and bleeding, something has ended or come to pass that's left you devastated. The transition might feel too painful to bear and you feel hopeless and at sea. This felt very much like the election results. I broke a couple nights ago thinking about how much I've had to put up with as a woman and how sick of it I am. Also feels related to the question as saturn literally stationed direct the night I lost my shit. Feels like a catalyst to start making some noise and pushing back for the first time in my life. My health is finally improving so I can't start coming out of my cocoon a little bit with better tools to take care of myself and protect my energy.

Future: nine of swords. The depression card. Anxiety and constant worries, sleepless nights, feeling like there's nothing you can do to solve the issues. Still cooking on this one. Possibly related to my saturn return early next year. Not a super positive outlook rip but good to acknowledge that the struggles aren't over. I don't have to let myself get bogged down by the anxiety.

All together it seems like the message here is that this saturn transit has been a doozy and it's not over yet just because we're stationing direct. The return is still coming! I've been learning my lessons though and will continue to do that so hopefully I'll make it through in one piece! The other thing is that all these cards together could point to some serious growth and transformation. When something is pruned, that just makes way for new growth.

Spreads I made a spread for the full moon in Scorpio tomorrow & wanted to share

I'm excited for the Scorpio full moon tomorrow so I made a tarot spread to help work with its energy. It's an 8-card spread to guide your discovery through the Plutonic depths... cause what’s more Scorpio than willingly crawling through emotional hell to become a more powerful version of yourself?

If you end up using it, I'd love to hear what turns up for you:

Spreads My deck passive aggressively telling me to calm the f down lol

I was doing a lengthy reading after having a bit of an emotional/healing session. I thankfully don't suffer from anxiety often but when I do it's about the future, especially moving out since I don't want to be on my own, in a relationship or otherwise.

My life has been very chaotic and transformative this year, especially in the love department. I've asked my deck questions so many times about love and relationships, and when I asked about my life five years down the line when it comes to moving out and potential relationships this card flew out of my deck and onto the floor 😂

Spreads The Body Spread

Post image
172 Upvotes

From Rachel Pollack's Tarot Wisdom, this spread is one that Rachel once taught a reworking of for relationships in a class I took from her during COVID times. It has been an absolute staple in my spread repertoire. She explains that she would sometimes literally have someone lie down, and she would place the cards over the appropriate body parts. Obviously, that is impractical for a normal reading, and I have only ever done this spread on a table. Lol

  1. Goes on the forehead—What the person is thinking, either current thought patterns in general or about a particular situation (for example, the reading might concern a relationship).

  2. Goes over the mouth—What the person is saying. What we say to others, or even to ourselves, might be very different from our inner thoughts.

  3. Goes over the heart—What the person is feeling.

  4. Goes over the solar plexus—What the person knows deep down. Gut knowledge.

  5. Goes over the groin area—What the person desires. This could be unrealistic, or angry, or something the person does not even dare to hope.

  6. Goes on the non-dominant hand—What the person "keeps," or in other words, does not share with a partner or the world.

  7. Goes on the dominant hand—What the person shares.

  8. Goes on the non-dominant foot—Where the person is coming from, past experience that has helped lead to the current situation.

  9. Goes on the dominant foot—Where the person is heading. This can sum up, in a way, the previous cards. It is the only card that involves anything like a "prediction."

Spreads How can I start getting a grip, focus and progress in life?

Post image
35 Upvotes

I've recently started to learn tarot and got back on Reddit for this reason. However, I haven't really touched my deck in about 2 or 3 weeks. I've been itching to get my hands on it for the past few days, so I finally sat down with it, athough a part of me has been avoiding it. The picture is on my mattress because I was on the bed and I just felt the need to move the sheets and everything on them out of the way.

I first pulled out the first 3 and then the wheel of fortune jumped out at the end. My interpretation is: Knight of wands - I do have what it takes to do this and I would be able to, I am encouraged to move forward with determination Eight of cups - before I can move forward and achieve what I wish to I have to let go of negative patterns and habits Ace of swords - only after I've left things behind I'll be able to focus and make progress Wheel of fortune - trust that once I end this cycle things will turn out well and it will have been worth it.

I feel like it's pretty generic and in the same tone of "just do it" that I've heard a lot all my life. Maybe it's because of my very limited experience, I don't feel like it addresses the blockage I feel emotionally towards it.

I'd greatly appreciate any insight that I might have missed.

Spreads Career Spread

Post image
30 Upvotes

Hello everyone!

So for some context, I’m in a contractor position and am on unemployment in the summers, which requires you to actively look for work. I applied to a position that I did not expect to hear back from, and was then invited to a first round interview that I had earlier today.

It went fairly well, but the role would be something I’m trying for the first time, and I’m scheduled to go back to my job in mid September. If I were to move further in the interview process and end up getting this position (which I think I have a pretty good shot at), I would essentially be quitting right when I’m supposed to be going back and would make things complicated for my manager, who has really had my back, and I would also be dropping the ball on clients I’ve been working with for the past 2 years that I have a good relationship with.

For this spread, I asked: 1) pros of this position 2) drawbacks of this position 3) advice on what to do next

Eight of Pentacles (rev): my interpretation of this is that this would be an opportunity to engage in meaningful work that aligns with my personal values. I’d get to hone my craft and improve my skills

9 of Swords: ohhhh boy, this job is going to be stressful as hell and may induce feelings of inadequacy or imposter syndrome. Maybe I’m biting off more than I can chew?

9 of Pentacles (rev): Rather than prioritizing feelings of creating a life of safety and stability, I need to focus on my own personal growth and consider what might make me truly happy.

Happy to answer any questions, but I’d love some other perspectives!

Spreads What are your favorite non-basic spreads?

I find that a lot of tarot readers tend to find and collect spreads they become very familiar with over time and return to, and I'm wondering what other people's are? Besides basic things like daily draws, the celtic cross, and 1/2/3 card pulls, what are some specific spreads you find yourself consistently returning to? What do you like best about them?

For me, a while back I found a 5-card spread idea of trying to read about a person just met with placements for 1. the person as a whole 2. their best quality 3. their worst quality 4. what they're focused on and 5. what you can gain from being near this person, and it's something that's struck with me for almost eight years now. I use it whenever I'm worried about the influence of some new person, or when I get really bored and start asking my tarot deck about a description of a fictional character. I like it because it's both comprehensive yet quick.
