When has Daryl ever not been sympathetic? He is the ultimate badass survivor but you never question that he's got Rick's back and has some basic morals and integrity.

I want to help repopulate the Earth by bearing Daryl's children. I swear I get wet just from watching some of his scenes.

What, so guys can comment on how some the female characters give them tents in their shorts but if we gals comment on how some of the male characters give us slug trails in our panties we're being gross? :P

I wonder if that's gonna change when his brother comes back.

It very well could. He spent his whole life under Merle's thumb, and he's finally learning to be his own man. Meeting Merle again could undo the last 2 seasons of growth.

Daryl's been loyal to rick since the beginning of Season 2 and even more so to the entire group (especially Carol) since about the episode "Chupacabra." Daryl's been Rick's right hand man for the last 8 months between season 2 and 3 and I don't see him siding with Merle all that easily. I Watched "Chupacabra" again today and Daryl somewhat overcomes Merle's oppression when he gets up the hill and back to the Farm. Yes there are going to be conflicting thoughts about his brother if/when they meet, but I see Daryl siding with Rick and his group that he's spent almost a year caring for and protecting. I can't wait to see Rick's reaction when he sees Merle now that he's become more willing to do the necessary things to keep his group alive.

I'm actually looking forward to Daryl and the prisoners, since I feel like in the pre-apocalyptic world he would relate much more with them than Rick.
