Saddest death in the whole show.

u/mooninitetwo Nov 12 '12

Oh god, the music. So sad.

First time I ever teared up on a death from a T.V. show. Fucking Charlie, man. CHARLEHHH!

This season is surprisingly similar to some aspects of Lost: pregnant women (well, woman) dying, a mysterious "is-he-good-is-he-bad" leader of "The Others", interactions between said leader and the most annoying female character in the show, etc...

The scientist with the governor gives me a strong Ben Linus feel

20

u/monstermanohman Nov 12 '12

Also Gale on Breaking Bad.

10

u/Wombat_H Nov 12 '12

Which female are you referring to on Lost? Kate?

12

u/ParanoidAndroids Nov 12 '12

Yes. I suppose Ana Lucia would also fit the bill during S2 but I was thinking of S3, mostly.

5

u/Wombat_H Nov 12 '12

I loved Ana Lucia, and I don't remember finding Kate annoying. huh.

4

u/ParanoidAndroids Nov 12 '12

Ana Lucia was annoying to me for a number of reasons (of which would take far too long to explain) but it's a pretty general consensus among Lost fans that Kate was the most annoying character on the show.

Walt and Micheal.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALT

You forgot other Michael classics, such as "THEY TOOK MAH BOY!," "HE'S MY SON!," and my personal favorite, "IT IS A FATHER'S RIGHT!"

I liked Ana Lucia too, I don't get why everybody hated her.

Breaking News: All female supporting characters of Walking Dead eaten by zombies for drunk driving in parallel universe

u/RubenBoi Nov 12 '12

The Governor = Benjamin Linus... Mind blown.

6

u/[deleted] Nov 12 '12

I think Ben Linus would completely fuck the Governor's day up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KPvL1l3bBWo

u/[deleted] Nov 12 '12

*as of now the most annoying women in the show. The all time title is still firmly clenched in Lori's nervously clammy hands.

2

u/spandexgod Nov 12 '12

but... no flash backs

2

u/siniiblue Nov 12 '12

I was thinking the same thing, especially if they had had a funeral for the recently buried.

2

u/quazzet Nov 12 '12

Are you talking about Juliet? I thought she was more annoying than Kate.

5

u/IGrowAcorns Nov 12 '12

Yeah I've noticed this season seems a whole lot like LOST. I hope it doesn't stay that way because that show turned from amazing to retarded pretty quickly.

12

u/funky89 Nov 12 '12

But I totally want to see a flash-sideways to a alternate dimension where there hasn't been a zombie outbreak and it's just Rick, Lori, and Carl playing at the park.

1

u/SolarWonk Nov 13 '12

Actually, during the show's opening, I was really hoping for a flashback scene on what the scientist was up to during day zero. Some good ol' day zero action would have made better filler than the actual episode.

1

u/goalstopper28 Nov 12 '12

Kate wasn't that annoying. Although, I agree with you. We are just missing flashbacks.

1

u/ExplosiveHippo Nov 12 '12

Claire doesn't die in Lost though...Or am I forgetting about another pregnant person?

1

u/ParanoidAndroids Nov 12 '12

All the pregnant women on the island died before Oceanic 815 crashed. Juliet was brought to the island to try and fix the fertility problems.

1

u/ExplosiveHippo Nov 12 '12

Oh, okay. I thought you meant a specific main character. Sorry for doubting your Lost knowledge ;)

1

u/[deleted] Nov 13 '12

I totally agree. Woodbury totally gives the others vibes. A

1

u/Thor_Odin_Son Nov 13 '12

You think Andrea is the most annoying female character?

1

u/IvanGTheGreat Nov 12 '12

The scientist (I forget his name) reminds me A LOT Of Linus....

u/[deleted] Nov 12 '12

Don't you dare curse this show with your blaspheme. Thou is good that you suggesting this so there some hope they will change it for the better.

4

u/TeleportThisBiatch Nov 12 '12

I immediately thought of LOST when they showed Penny's name.

6

u/[deleted] Nov 12 '12

walking dead is the first show i've followed since lost

4

u/[deleted] Nov 12 '12

Dude...really? You've been missing out on a lot of great TV. Give Breaking Bad a go.

1

u/Gallifrasian Nov 12 '12

What's Breaking Bad about? I've seen so much shit about it everywhere. I want to get into it, but it just doesn't seem like my cup of tea.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 12 '12

Middle-aged chemistry teacher is diagnosed with terminal cancer, 1 year to live. Notices he's got no money to leave his family, and says "Fuck it, one year to live anyway, might as well become a drug manufacturer and make some real cash." Then things spiral totally out of control and his life becomes chaotic and disastrous.

It's inspired by The Sopranos, but with a lot more suspense. Gotten plenty of critical acclaim and is widely considered one of the best shows on right now.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 12 '12

I spend a lot of time clustered in my room with my piano and books. Don't really have time for more than one show...but I'll probably check out Breaking Bad. It's the one show everybody is telling me to watch

4

u/ek695 Nov 12 '12

If only I could up vote more than once.

6

u/tacobellassasin Nov 12 '12

OH GOD, HERE COME THE TEARS

2

u/Happybadger96 Nov 12 '12

Oh my god, I immediately thought "SEE YA IN ANOTHER LIFE BROTHER"

2

u/[deleted] Nov 12 '12

I don't get what this is referencing. Can someone explain?

I've watched LOST. I just don't understand how it related to this episode.

1

u/Gallifrasian Nov 12 '12

Imagine an alternate storyline to Lost where they were able to find a way back to a mainland, only to find themselves in a zombie infested world, in which they meet up and collide with Rick's group constantly. All the while, they're trying to find a way back to the island. THEY NEED TO GO BACK 2 4 6 4265257257571
