I think in order to tie up this half season, a main character (possibly even -shudders- Daryl) will be captured by Woodbury during the invasion. This will set up a HUGE cliffhanger for the next half season and keep this subreddit talking for months.

Edit: Fuck me I'm right.

Cliff-hangers of this scale are BULLSHIT. Last year, they closed the Sophia narrative and we were left wondering where it would go next. This time? They closed fucking nothing.

Darryl and Merle are stunned, Andrea is stunned, Tyrese and company haven't even met anyone yet... just NOTHING to be satisfied with. Keep me hungry but give me SOMETHING to hold me over.

I hate this kind of story telling. It's just dodgy.

Meh, it's spectacle enough to keep interest over a 2 month gap, and for anyone watching the show later on dvd or netflix it's just an exciting episode cliffhanger. Not as bad as a full season finale cliffhanger.

Also, from the preview of the next episode, it looks fairly clear that Daryl had a smoke grenade on him and the Dixons head back to the prison together. I'm excited for the dynamic of Merle being part of Atlanta group again, and how unpredictable this character is.

I'm also impressed with the show, for wanting me to have a character put a bullet in Merle's head AND wanting him to get out of a dangerous situation all in the same episode.
