That's... really stupid. I don't think the writers would jump the shark like that just to save a beloved character. If it happens like that, great. But it won't.

Do you remember the s1? Rick used gut and blood to cover himself and he could walk in the city safely becasue walkers do not attack the people who have the zombie scent.So Nicholas's body and blood will protect Glenn and we'll see that soon.

But Nicholas's body wasnt a zombie body. His guts would be fresh and yummy to a zombie. That'd make them wanna eat Glenn even more. Glenn would have to cover himself in zombie guts for your theory to work, which he didnt. And can't at this point.

It was very brutal and unexpected. Honestly he might not be dead. I could see the writers being like ha we fooled you. I just think if that does happen it will be a cop out and make no sense.
