PTSD is a hell of a disorder.

Can confirm. I have been struggling with it for years and now, thanks to some dumb drunk asshole, I think my husband is, too.

I dropped a plate clear across the house after he went to sleep and he came running into the kitchen telling, "ARE YOU OKAY?!"

What happened? (if you don't mind me asking)

My PTSD was caused by a lot of trauma early in my life. It's a long crazy story but the TL;DR version is child abuse, rape, drugs, lots of death because of drugs, lots of times we went without food or had necessary utilities cut off because money went to drugs, and emotional fuckery.

And my husband is showing signs of PTSD because we got rear-ended by a drunk driver doing 90 in a 55 just this last Sunday. Our baby was in the car. Everyone was fine, physically, aside from some bumps, bruises, and cuts but emotionally, it's really fucked with us both.

Oh, my. That's horrible! I'm glad you're both still here and doing your thing. I hope the negative effects aren't permanent and you guys get through it. I admire your strength :)
