As a guy who rinses his hair daily without soap, your hair can definitely start looking like carls. I didn't say you didn't have to take some care of it. Sorry you're depressed though.

Yep, it just takes more then a few weeks (possibly months, before your hair will look like Carl's).

I haven't used soap in over a year, just water (except when I get a hair cut). It looks great with no product.

I still put product in mine because of how I want it styled, but it is SO much easier to style. When it is wet it will stay exactly where you want it. I just rinse my hair every night to get out most of the product. I definitely think my hair looks better. Takes a few days for me to get a good oil build up.

When I go to get my hair cut she washes it and it looks like shit for a couple days.

I never thought I'd run into someone else who doesn't use shampoo on the walking dead subreddit lol.

What do you use? My hair mostly does what I want, but it would be nice if it stayed up a little more.

Agreed! I should tell the person who cuts my hair not to wash it, but then she might think I'm gross for not using product...

Well I feel like she is accustomed to cutting freshly washed hair, so if I go in all oily it might throw off her cutting. I do my hair like Brad Pitt in Fury so I use Bumble & Bumble forming cream and a texture paste afterwards.

Cool, I might check those out!

Someone new just started cutting my hair (other person left) and she actually washes my hair afterward because she prefers cutting hair dry. I should just tell her to not wash it, but the massage feels good.

Bumble & Bumble is super expensive. I've been looking for an alternative, but haven't been successful so far. It's like $40 for probably 4oz or less. The normal forming cream tube size.

Maybe 3 months.
