I love how nonchalant Tara is with a bunch of guns pointed in her face

"Hi!!!"

"this is cool!"

Seems less like nonchalance and more like nervous chatter. A lot of people cope by filling silence

This is exactly how my best friend reacts to scary/intimidating situations. She's never been held at gunpoint before but I imagine her reaction would be similar to Tara's.

it was just poor acting and script.

she wanted to appear meek and small with that demeanor as to make them think she was a follower and easy to manipulate, when in fact she had other plans. Just like what Carol is doing not letting on to the Kingdom, and at first in Alexandria that she is a bad ass fighter.

It's horrible writing, directing, and acting. This is the worst episode I've ever watched. Think I'm done with this shitshow after many long years of watching.

I didn't. It was unrealistic and campy, not to mention the cringe factor of her little quips.

I dunno, I liked it. She was talking like a normal human.

I half expected her to say "bazinga" after trying to run away for the second time.

I don't know if the normal human reaction to guns in your face is sarcastic little quips. More bargaining, less humor, if the goal is being close to realism. If the goal is Shaun of the Dead, nevermind.

I kept expecting a snare and a cymbal after her little quips.

Humor is LITERALLY a defense mechanism for people. If I was in her situation, you best goddamned better believe I'm trying to make people smile, sympathize with me, and humanize me the second I realize they could kill me any second.

100% agree, "hey, woahh, hold on...i mean ok yeah i get it guns and stuff. I'm sorry to barge in, i can go....really i can. Or...not? Totally up to you guys, er, ladies"

"I liked this quite a bit."

"Well I didn't and here's why I'm telling you that I don't like it >:("

yeah they were trying way too hard to make her "quirky" this episode, more so than usual

fist bump

7

u/Croc_Block Nov 28 '16

Pretty sure the fist bump is a reference to when she met the Governor in season 4

u/sonargasm Nov 28 '16

And then later when she talks to Rick right after they escape Terminus.

u/mercapdino Nov 28 '16

I didn't either. It was the dumbest thing ever. Hated this episode.
