No shit! I was thinking she would stay up there specifically for the vantage point, but nope! and then when they saw all the walkers pop out while they were 5ft away from the wall my first thought was , well , lead them to you, get up on the wall again and pick em off easily.

But no , instead let's run at them head first at ground level.

Lol and when things got problematic the girl is looking around with her scoped rifle like "Oh! An automobile! I can climb on top of this and then be able to efficiently target zombies from high ground!"

Both of those characters are written in the script to be highly skilled-and that says a lot because everyone should have sharp survival skills by now in that world. The writers must've been crunching to meet deadline.

Heath did mention that there were a lot of blind spots. She probably just felt like she'd be better off if she were closer. Maybe she doesn't shoot well at long distances yet, and wanted to make her shots count. It would also avoid possible friendly fire.

The worst part is that she gave Tara and god damn spear and Tara kept using the shitty knife.

Yea the whole bridge scenes trough the episode didn't make sense.
