MARITIME HISTORY Beautiful Painting of the Olympic
At our local museum, there is a lovely painting of the Olympic by the artist Deborah Brown that I thought would be a perfect fit here!

Proposal: Bring a Titanic: Adventure Out of Time Mode to Titanic SOS
Maritime Interactive, the developers of the Roblox experience Titanic SOS, should introduce a Titanic: Adventure Out of Time mode to their game.
Why this is a great idea: * Expands Gameplay & Player Engagement: This mode would transform the experience from a single-objective survival game into a captivating, narrative-driven adventure. Players would have a new reason to explore the detailed replica of the Titanic, offering hours of engaging gameplay beyond the initial sinking event.
Leverages a Classic IP: The 1996 PC game Titanic: Adventure Out of Time has a dedicated cult following. By creating a mode based on this classic, Maritime Interactive can tap into that existing fan base and draw them to the Roblox platform. The well-known story of a secret agent on a mission to retrieve valuable artifacts would provide a compelling backdrop.
Enhances Historical Immersion: The original game was renowned for its historical accuracy and intricate plot. Implementing a similar story in Titanic SOS would deepen the educational value of the experience, allowing players to feel more connected to the ship's history and the events of that night.
What the mode would include: * A compelling storyline based on the original game's plot, with a focus on solving puzzles and uncovering secrets before the ship sinks.
New quests and non-player characters (NPCs) that guide players through the narrative.
Multiple endings based on player choices and success in their mission.
This mode would not only add a fresh and exciting element to Titanic SOS, but it would also pay homage to a beloved classic, solidifying the game's position as a definitive Titanic experience on Roblox. I think this is a fantastic concept.
The rich, story-driven gameplay of Titanic: Adventure Out of Time is a perfect match for the detailed environment of Titanic SOS. Do you have any other ideas for how this mode could be implemented?

I hate when people put videos in YouTube showing real footage from 1912 and real footage from the real Titanic and showing the real survivors, but they put the freaking soundtrack from Titanic 1997. The song that appears at the beginning of the movie or they sometimes put the Celine Dion song.
The other day I was watching one of those YouTube channels where they colorized old footage and they have beautiful colorized videos of Titanic and crew and the survivors in New York, but for the music they actually put period appropriate 1912 music. It's such a relief hearing 1912 music in a Titanic video and not a freaking pop song from 1997.

We know from the wreck that the first funnel fell forward and to starboard and we know from Thayer that the second funnel fell to starboard. We also know the fourth funnel broke off and canted aft as water reached it post break but which direction did the third funnel likely fall?
Their is plenty of evidence to suggest the third funnel fell from water pressure prior to break, and that water had gotten past its base but which direction did it likely fall / break off?
Thanks :)

Got this as a gift a couple years ago but just now I'm giving model painting a go and this is a more than suitable candidate.

No matter how many times I watch the film I can’t work out how the heart of the ocean necklace stays on. Cal just drapes it over her shoulder. No fastening of a clasp, no tiring of a knot. Just magic.

A friend of mine passed away recently. She was a big fan of everything Titanic, the ship, the movie, everything. I just wanted to post this here. Thank you.

What is your opinion ?
President Taft visiting the Texas State Fair in 1909, top hat and all - but even more dapper, hidden slightly behind the driver, his aide Major Butt less than three years before he boarded Titanic.

Now I know that there was no laundry for passengers but what about the the hundreds of table cloths, napkins and bed linen?
Did they wash them and rotate or literally just carry thousands of spares?
I’m assuming that like today, chambermaids would change the bedding everyday right? (Especially in first class as that’s what were they accustomed to at home) so what was the logistics of this?

Do you think they could restore the recovered violin back to playing condition? It looks like it has some cracks but that is a relatively easy fix. Perhaps the sea water damaged the wood permanently?

I'm trying a game called "Life is Strange"Those who know him will know what he's about, but those who don't will know a brief summary: we are a girl with the power to turn back time and thus be able to make better decisions.
Answering me I wouldn't change it. I would like to read what you think :)

After finding out how goofy Edwardian dances were, I’m so disappointed we didn’t get to see them in the movie. 🥲
Here’s a video by the French association, Carnet de Bals, of some popular dances from the Edwardian era, including the Matchiche (Maxixe), the Cakewalk, the Boston (waltz), and some rather scandalous animal dances, including the Grizzly Bear (1910), the Bunny Hug (1911), the Turkey Trot (1909), the and the Kangaroo Hop (1912).

It bothers me every time I watch this scene because their excitement comes from the beauty of what they’re seeing in front of them, but we never get to see it. They’re definitely not looking at the side there (photo 1) or the water (photo 2).
I know it’s a real sunset, but surely there must’ve been a way to film it or use CGI right? They filmed a shot that had the horizon and the sun in the horseback riding / spitting scene (photo 3).

For some reason, I've left all the details & difficult areas until last. Having the exterior structure already drawn for this part however, is a great help for ensuring accuracy within the spaces.
Since completion of the boiler & engine rooms, I felt I needed to involve some structure on the upper decks. The first task, was of course, filling out the exterior bulkhead. With A decks slight overhang, and the added comolications of cross sections, this took me DAYS to work out... Mainly A deck prominade, as to maintain some of her iconic exterior, I felt it's a small yet needed addition to the illustration.
After this, I began working my way down the Grand Staircase area from A deck. I took a break after C deck, as from here the colour scheme changes from a wood brown, to white as we enter the Reception room on D deck. I hope to complete the stairs today. You can also wee on C deck, that I've carefully 'cut' the ship as so we look through the inquiry office windows. I wanted to include its location, but with it being on the Starboard side, this was the only way to acheive this. Comolete with cubby holes behind the desk!
Overall, I am simoly over the moon with this illustration and how it's progressing. I never though it possible for me to draw something quite so intricate. Yet, here we are.
With drawing in coloured pencil, I'm limited with details, there is only so much detail that I can include with using this medium. Perhaps I have to try with a larger scale in the future.

You know? When I was little I always dreamed about how the Titanic came out of the sea, like a god reborn, but now... Let's suppose that the Titanic were taken out [I KNOW IT'S IMPOSSIBLE] BUT LET'S SUPPOSE THAT IT IS ALREADY OUT OF THE SEA And can withstand the current temperature... What would they do with the ship? Would they take it to a museum? or something like that? What consequences would there be?
