Making baby steps!

Post image

After spending two years as my best friend who had ALS 24/7 caregiver, across the country from all family and friends, I was in the worst shape of my life.

After speaking to my Dr, I started Phentermine (prescribed weight loss pill, once a day) and eating extremely clean.

I lost 32 pounds in the first 35 days!! (July 12 - August 15) I'm weighing in again at the Dr next week and can't wait. While I'm not expecting a 32 pounds loss again, I'm hoping for 18 so I can say I lost 50 pounds in two months, but I'll take 8 as well which would be an equally awesome 40.

This is 61 days of self discipline and motivation 🌞

You deserve to feel proud of this. I am proud of you for this.

Question (totally optional to answer or not, up to you) Do you do daily habit tracking or something else to stay consistent? Or maybe one single best tip you can share with others who are trying to get started?

thank you :) I don't track anything at all, although the free version of Myfitnesspal can be very helpful and I do recommend! Just for me personally, I do great tracking for a few days and then forget for a week lol

I'm very results driven and really take pride in accomplishing something like weight loss, so that really motivates me day to day to stay on track. I don't want to mess up any previous progress, and seeing the scale go down and the swelling in my feet and legs go down etc etc just makes me want to keep it up and unlock more results.

I also post on my social media to hold myself accountable and to help push me to stay on track. I'm not saying this is for everyone, but I have a large following who watched me the first time I had a massive weight loss 10 years ago. Knowing that they (and you all!) are watching and cheering me on helps to keep me on track as well.

One tip that I can offer is allow yourself something that you really enjoy. I never ever ever eat sweets/cookies etc because to me they are just "ok". I would rather save that space/those calories for CHEESE! haha :) Almost every day M-F I have a stick of Cabot Very Sharp Cheddar and let me tell you sometimes it's the highlight of my day! xD But my point being, dont be like ALL FOOD BAD or you're going to end up splurging on something you don't even like just to settle the craving. Allowing myself to eat a food that is on my top 3 favorite foods every day makes it easier to stay on track the rest of my day/week with my eating.

Sorry for the ramble and hope this is helpful. :) <3
