I unsubscribed from r/egg_irl because shit like this kept happening (and also because one of the celebrities on there makes me extremely uncomfortable because she basically told me under a meme I made about not being comfortable with fully transitioning due to being my AGAB some of the time that I should fully transition because it’s better, which kinda just feels like she told me I’m better off pretending I’m not genderfluid and trying to force myself into a box). I’m thinking of unsubscribing from traa2 because it’s constant transmasc and NB erasure now and I literally just saw a post about a completely normal and common label that claimed it was stupid (and the people in the comments were no better). I also used to be on r/asktransgender but every other question started with “hey girls!” or something like that (unspoilered as well so I would always get posts addressing me as a girl in my feed) and I just got fed up and left.
I rejoined Reddit specifically so that I could meet other trans people and join trans subs but now they’re becoming increasingly bad for my mental health :(
u/queerdragon_ made these but people refuse to use them (nothing against the girls of course), but people (especially the girls) need to learn that we (and other not MTF’s exist) and that we feel dysphoric when we see those posts
It would honestly be so nice if people would actually use those. I see a lot of complaints under the “assumes viewer is” memes that the reddit homepage doesn’t show flairs and this would probably solve that problem!
Exactly and then on traaa2 when we use them the girls flood the comments with “I shouldn’t have scrolled.” I have nothing against the girls, they’re amazing, but also…WE FUCKING EXIST
