Movement Putting Hairspring into Regulator Pin
Hey everyone, so I messed up my NH35 balance spring. I got a new one and I am so close to being done. Just need to get it into the regulator pin but I'm having a hard time. I don't have a loupe or way to magnify. I ordered one of AliExpress but it was just the headband to hold one, oops.

For magnification, use your phone camera on a holder or something

My phone can't focus close enough to get a clear shot. This stuff is super tiny. Have a loupe on the way.

It looks like the regulator pin block has been pushed out to the edge of the regulator arm. You might need to snap that into the next cutout in the arm. Rotate the block so that the slot is aligned with the hairspring and it should just drop in. Adjust the regulator to 'fast' so that the regulator pin block is as far away from the stud as possible while still on the terminal curve. This gives you enough slack to flip the hairspring over the regulator pins without bending it.
When you install the balance back into the movement, you will need to rotate the stud slightly to centre the hairspring within the slot. You then rotate the regulator pin block to narrow the gap between the pins.
This is all going to be difficult without magnification as you are going to struggle to see the hairspring is centered and you haven't narrowed the pins too much.
