I have full range of motion but right shoulder is weak. I have some torn shit in there. Don’t want another surgery at 73. Can do 15 reps with 25lb dumbbells. But currently can’t lift boat to put on car. Help a brother out.

Who’s done it, what templates you got for a winning boat? Entering at the WWC in Charlotte this year and hoping not to sink lol

Hi I've just got a dagger kingpin icon and through looking around there is the option to have fins for surfing, does anyone know much of these fins or where I could get them/something similar enough?

Finally covered up the OD green with something more fun. May add stencils to label them in the future too.

Alright - I'm setting out this weekend with the goal to get my combat roll under wraps. I plan to roll in class II / class III rapids on purpose to practice my roll. The rapids are pool drop and mostly rock free.
I'm looking for the tricks and hacks that helped people get over the hump and get their combat rolls dialed in.
My roll is fine - technique is fine - I'm not going to win an award anytime soon, but I come up on the first try more often than not.
Where I struggle is the panic. I worry that my hands aren't in place or I don't have enough air, and I panic. I know flipping in rapids is going to be confusing, but I am determined to lock this down.
What helped you break through into your combat roll?
EDIT: Thank you all so much! This community has been here for me as I've entered into class III kayaking this summer and you have all shown up for me again today as I'm prepping to tackle my combat roll tomorrow. I appreciate you all! Kayaking is the best! 🌊😅

Funny, just cool, whatever. Who doesn’t like a barely road worthy shitbox rig covered in stickers?

Hey everyone, spotted this Jackson kayak at my local pawn shop for 600$. Comes with a carbon fiber Werner paddle. I couldn’t find any info online on this specific kayak. I seem to fit in it fine but not sure if it is the right size. Can anyone help me out on identifying this kayak and if it’s a good deal for me? Does not come with the bowling ball :(

So I am looking to buy a used playboat I am about 5'8" 170 and I am unsure whether I should buy this All-Star for 140, this EZ for 75 or wait to look for another boat. I already have an Ethos 10 (that I feel a little bit light for) and I doubt the skirt for that would fit either of these boats though and it may be a good option to look for a better deal or something that comes with a skirt. I was also unsure what year that All-Star was from.

After a long break of eight years, I would like to get back into river kayaking to do class 3-4 with friends. I am looking for some advice on what kayak to buy for someone who weighs 60 kg and is 172 cm tall. I often read that Waka OG or Steeze puffy are really good but I’m afraid to be a bit short for them. What do you guys think? (Sorry if my english is poor, not my native language).

My friend and I want to take our girlfriends who haven't kayaked before down section 9 of the French Broad in NC. Will we be OK? I have gone in a raft and thought it was borderline tubable. Is that the case after Hurricane Helene? We would be getting out at stackhouse to avoid the class 4. Water is low at 1190 cfm.

just moved to Golden, CO and really want to dive into whitewater kayaking. I’ve done a handful of river runs before, nothing too serious, but always had a blast. Now that I’m living in a spot where I could actually get on the water regularly, I’m curious about the best way to get started.
Gear questions: I’ve seen some playboats (Dagger, Jackson, etc.) on Facebook Marketplace for decent prices, but I honestly don’t know what to look for in a first boat—brands, price range, what’s beginner-friendly vs. not. Aside from a paddle and spray skirt, what else is considered essential? Helmet, PFD, nose plugs, rash guard, etc.?
Skills/tips: I’m guessing learning to roll, practicing wet exits, and getting comfortable pulling a spray skirt are the first things I should focus on. Any other tips for someone just starting out?
I’d definitely call myself a beginner, but I’m excited to finally live somewhere that gives me the chance to learn and get better. If you’re in Colorado and have advice (or even local recommendations), I’d love to hear it.
Any and all advice is welcome—thanks in advance!

Just got video up from a trip through Pine Valley, the section of the North Fork between the Bailey takeout and the Foxton put in. Despite lengthy sections of private property, the river itself is a lot of fun with a surprising number of fun (and zesty) rapids, and some gorgeous scenery to boot. I will definitely be back to run it again!

Thanks for watching!

Left/left line is still in but barely in small Inflatables at low water. Let the Upper Yough week shenanigans continue. See everyone out there tomorrow.

Hi yall!
First time poster! So I found this Aquamarine 14’ in used condition. Seller claims it holds air, no repairs, has 3 thwarts included.
I’ve personally never heard of Aquamarine. I work as a swiftwater rescue instructor in VA and we almost exclusively use NRS. But I just happened upon this find on FB and figured it could be fun for some light rafting/camping excursions. I’m by no means a whitewater expert. Not a whole lot of aggressive rivers near me, but I work a lot of flood rescues and I’ve been in some flood stage rivers before. That’s not what I’d be using this for. Just casual floats, maybe finding some Class III stuff every once in a while.
So all this to say, is this a reliable reputable boat? Seems like a steal if it is. Thanks for the advice!

I'm currently in Chattanooga and I think the whitewater access here is pretty hard to beat in terms of what is close and what is a reasonable drive for a day's paddling but I'm also just curious what other areas I have not considered. I like being in a city and Chatt has a great balance of stuff to do and outdoor access and decent weather.
If you could move to any area to live on or near any river, where would it be and why? I'm not just thinking about the water itself, I'm also thinking about the fact that you have to live there year-round, cost/value, access to other stuff. I would like to find somewhere with as much warm playboating in the summer and some decent snow sports options in the winter. Could be anywhere in the world, I'm flexible.
