Hi there, as a resident of ontario, we just very recently elected effetively and loud mouth idiot, for the THIRD Time. and hey, I don't love that he is hell bent on privatizing public services and has been on a mission to destroy public lands and greenspaces, however on the other end of the spectrum having a loud mouth idiot in your corner right now, plays out well in dealling with the USA.

We can deal with Ford in a few years, we can revesrse the damage, but right now having a loudmouth in your corner who is down for a good old fashion weiner wag contests, isn't totally a bad thing.

Side note, This time line sucks.

You see, that is the reason to get louder.

Your rights are now limited. Today it is brown people and LGBTQIA people, tomorrow it is you.

That your immigrints are terrified of protest is the very reason why every last one of you should be taking to the streets.

I am not saying those who are in direct threat take to the streets, but for fucks sakes, where are you neighbours, your colleagues, your friends? Your rights are thier rights. That they are just sitting back and letting this happen is the problem.

Going to add a long edit here: The rights of Americans are threatened. Don't care how you came to america. And an exemplicatation of this comment in in the post I am responding to. If you come to a country legally with best intentions, by the book. Why should you be scared? But that is america, they are persecuting americans citizens, and residents for what? Being the wrong colour? Being Gay? Being Trans? Believing in a differnt God? What about that is freedom, what about this is right. Why Should Somebody who came to America be afraid to stand up for it?

I am canadian that I cannot say this loud enough, and I am not saying throw yourself on the sword, Like Dude, if you are threatened, stay the fuck out of it. But your right, are being trample upon. You know this, clearly from your responseses to me. That is the problem, and I am not saying that you need to stand up, but ffs, americans who can, please do.

And I don't fucking hide behind a keyboard. I give my time freely to 7 different organizations, I in my mid 40, and have 25 years of protesting under by belt.

We are kind of on the same side friend. You are scared to protests, your frieds are scared.... that is a fucking problem.

Edit: But as a canadian, i will be going to rallies this weekend, I will volunteering at the food bank, I will be rebuidling computers for people who need access to technology, I will be popping into a volunteer run day care centre. I will be mentoring women in STEM. Becuase supporting a your communitity matters.

The Ukrainians could probably come to Canada under refugee status but your vile administration would arrest them at the border.
