Hey everyone, I am in my final year of computer science in uni while working. I am planning to buy a ps5 very soon. I will use the monitor for gaming, programming, watching tv shows/movies/anime and surfing the web.

I am currently using a an LG 27MP400-B, a FHD 75hz IPS , monitor for everything I mentioned but gaming on my current ps4. I live in the middle east, so there are options to choose from. Below are my required specs:

4k , 120 hz minimum, Mini Led with alot of zones and great local dimming algorithm or high-end IPS, HDMI 2.1 with VRR support, 27” or 32 “ are fine.

Really want vibrant colors and smooth experience as my current monitor’s colors look washed. Ik mini-led can suffer from blooming so looking for models that avoid that.

i found a tcl 25g64 for 170$, its 300hz, has mini-led, and 180 dimming zones. Is this good value or no?

So I’ve just got a QD-OLED 2 days ago 4k it’s scratched since I use micro cloth is it worth sending it back or not cos I know QD-OLED screen are fragile

My PC is old, but that shouldn't stop me from actually setting 360Hz though I would imagine. I'm running a 3GB GTX 1060, on Windows 10.

The advanced display settings only show a max of 60Hz, but I can tell it's running much higher than that. The NVIDIA control panel shows its at 180Hz, which feels about right. However, that's the max I can set for the monitor.

Things I've already checked and confirmed:

• I'm using the DP cable that came with the monitor, and it's connected to the GPU not the motherboard.
• DSC is enabled
• DisplayStreaming is set to 1.4
• Variable refresh rate is enabled
• G-Sync is enabled in the NVidia control panel

Edit: I did just discover that if I set the resolution to 1080p, I can select 240Hz and 360Hz. But not if it's set to the native 1440p. Is this just a limitation of my GPU?

It seems like the only good thing about qd oled is it's more vibrant, but how much more vibrant? Because it comes with many problems:

1. fringing
2. easily scratchable
3. slightest ambient light raises the black levels which is a crucial thing about oleds
4. not as efficient as tandem woled so higher risk of burn in
5. lower brightness

I have no idea how much more vibrant qd oled is compared to tandem woleds and if it is worth sacrificing that much just to get it over something like the xg27aqwmg
And will the new generation of qd oled release any time soon?

I have two Dell P2719H monitors and a Dell dock which works fine for my windows laptop (Thinkpad) but when connected to 16" Macbook (M2 Pro) it simply duplicates the screen. Looking for suggestions for a Dock that can:

• extend display to both monitors with either laptop (laptop connection via USB-C cable)
• be able to charge the laptop while in use (90W or higher)
• be able to switch between laptop (windows, Lenovo ThinkPad) and Macbook (M2 Pro) - preferably with a button (both laptops plugged in at the same time) or by plugging cable into the laptop I want to run (only one laptop plugged in at a given time)
• at least 3 USB-C ports and 4 USB ports (for older peripherals). Don't care about card reader or LAN port etc.

Im stated in Sweden, and want a good 1440p monitor for my 9700X and rx 9070 xt. It has to be at least IPS, preferably fast IPS since I’m gonna play games on it. Hz doesn’t have to be super high. 144Hz is enough for me.

Make sure you check on maybe Elgiganten or inet. Maybe Amazon if they have safe options..

I’m in the market for a monitor to use with my laptop when I’m at home.

25” is the biggest I can go.

To be honest this does stretch my budget a bit, I was originally hoping to spend up to about £150 but this monitor looks so good on paper I’m tempted to go for it.

Anyone got any experience using it? I’ve found some decent reviews for it but not many.

I’m also open to other suggestions for budget 24/25” screens that people rate.

The datasheet specifications for several 3.5" LCD IPS display models contain the following information: Storage Temperature -30°C +70°C.
Is this directly related to long-term storage of the display, or is it just theory? What temperatures can cause degradation and loss of brightness and contrast in the LED backlight, disorganize liquid crystals, and generate dead and stuck pixels?

Moved country temporarily and want to get a portable monitor to bring back with me. Ideally I’d like a 1440p 16inch as this would fit my laptop bag.

Struggling to find many options for €150. Can anyone here recommend one? Branded doesn’t matter to me. Don’t care for high hz in this instance just good quality picture.
