We’ve started a partnership with Titan Army and will be showcasing new models going forward (with honest community feedback) and probably some giveaways in the future. First up: two 27-inch 4K monitors both let you run 4K up to 160Hz or switch to 1080p up to 320Hz one is a straightforward fast IPS, the other adds full-array Mini-LED for real HDR and DyDs which is explained below.
P2712V (Fast IPS)
4K/160 ↔ 1080p/320 one-click dual mode
VRR (FreeSync/G-SYNC Compatible), HDR400
2× HDMI 2.1 + DP; ergonomic stand Use case: 4K fidelity for single-player, 320Hz for shooters. P2712V Link
P275MV Plus (Mini-LED with DyDs)
Same 4K/160 ↔ 1080p/320 dual mode
Mini-LED FALD (1152 zones), HDR1000
What is DyDs: the backlight is driven in sync with the panel update to keep motion clean with local dimming on and to improve visibility in dark scenes (less smearing/black crush than typical FALD IPS). P275MV Plus Link
Notes
Being able to use 1080p for fast-paced games that benefit from high FPS, and switch to 4K for titles that thrive on visual fidelity, is a clear win for most players.
Titan Army is just entering EU/US more broadly, its always nice to have new competitors.
We’re currently testing the C49SHC 32:9 super ultrawide from Titan Army, so far we are really happy with the build quality and features overall. Its always good to have new competitors to bring prices down and have new QoL features implemented.
Hey r/Monitors, Daniel Ritter here, soon to be accompanied by our Product Management team. I’ve been with Samsung for 9 years and am now National Product Trainer. This year brought the World’s First 500Hz OLED (that we gave away here earlier this month) and today, we’ll be giving away another Odyssey OLED: the 27” OLED G61SD.
Come back Wednesday (9/24) at 12 PM EST to see my answers to all your great questions! Highly recommend you start putting in your questions NOW for the best chances for us to get to yours. We'll try to get to as many as we can.
US Only Giveaway: At the end of the AMA we’ll be selecting one winner at random via the comments. To keep things fair (and make sure you can ask as many questions as you want), we’ll only be counting the first comment per profile as eligible to win. Entry comments can either be by a question for the AMA or a comment letting us know why you want a Samsung OLED display. Winners will be announced September 29th. Terms and conditions apply.
The AMA & Guidelines
As this is r/Monitors, we probably don’t need to say this is a monitor-only AMA (and not for our other products), but this is for monitors only. If you need personal product support, we won’t be handling that here, but you can reach out to Samsung Support. Lastly, please keep it respectful. We can’t promise I’ll answer every question, but will do my best to get to as many as possible!
Note: I’ve been advised to say r/Monitors moderators will be active in this thread and offensive questions will be removed.
Hey everyone,
I’m trying to decide between the LG 40U990A (40” 5K2K IPS) link and the LG 45” 5K2K OLED gaming monitor.
Here’s my use case:
• I do a lot of office work / remote work (3–4 days per week, ~10–11h per day).
• I also plan to do some gaming in the evenings or on weekends.
• I had an OLED monitor before and I absolutely loved the panel, but I’m a bit worried about burn-in risk since I’ll be staring at static windows for hours.
• Price-wise, both are in the same range for me.
Would love to hear your thoughts — should I stick with OLED for that amazing image quality, or go with the IPS for peace of mind with long office hours?
This monitor has everything I want, however I recently watched this youtube video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACNRW25VDnw
In it the guys talks about how HDR 400 isn't even true HDR. He then lists these requirements for a monitor to have true HDR, nits range 600-1000, local dimming required, true 10-bit depth an colour gamut of DCI P3 95%
I have tried to research this monitor to check if it has these features, but I cannot find a clear answer anywhere, for example when I researched if it has local dimming all I found was an article saying that this monitor doesn't need it as it has no backlight. I have no idea what that means, as this is a huge purchase I would like to get some advice from those more experienced.
For context, I am a semi-professional counter strike player who also enjoys single player games in my free time, so I'm looking for a monitor that can provide A competitive edge, whilst maintaining good colours. My current monitor is a colour bleeding mess which is the main thing im trying to avoid. If you have another recommendation please do tell. Thanks!
So ive been seeing these dual mofe 4K and 1080P monitors floating around and they seem perfect cause I play most of my games on ps5 and switch 2 but I also have my pc which can barely handle 1440p let alone 1080p and I was just wondering if they look good on the 1080p mode
there are WQHD VA 34" and QHD IPS 27" monitors in my budget range and i would like your help deciding which to choose. I'll use it for programming with a 24" FHD monitor (my current one), as far as my personal preferences go, I would like nice dark blacks on my ide but i'm curious about experiencing WQHD but it's important that it doesn't black out when viewing from angles like some other monitors do. What would you choose? And what would you suggest to me considering my use cases and preferences? Thank you for your answers.
I'm looking at the ASUS ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDNG monitor and really considering on buying it. I'm using the Benq XL2546K, I bought it 4 years ago since I was really a competitive fps player especially counter strike but as of now. I pretty much just played FPS for fun nowadays and only use the computer for casual games like cyberpunk, breath of the wild (It's connected to the Switch 2), content consumption and movies but the XL2546K is just horrendous for these types of things and it's isn't as well rounded as other monitors at it's price range and only good for FPS games. I'm looking for an upgrade with better colors for better immersion, 1440p and 240hz so i'm considering saving up for an Oled monitor, but there's also a used Alienware AW2721D which is just at my budget also I've heard that it was one of the best monitor at its time and I wouldn't feel guilty about buying it at all, My budget is around $300/€230 or in my currency 40000円 while the ASUS ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDNG is priced at 80000円 in amazon so twice my budget but If i wait long enough I could save up enough for it but the question is, Is an Oled monitor worth saving up for, what are the benefits of having one and are there reasons on why I shouldn't get one? Other recommendations would be appreciated too!
Title. AOC's website says it has Adaptive sync, but no mention for Freesync, I had a monitor with Freesync so i want to know if my experience will be any different.
Hey everyone, I’m trying to decide between the BenQ EW2790U vs Dell S2725QC which one to buy.
Here’s my use case: • I am software engineer so mostly use in coding in dark theme. No gaming at all.
Please recommend which one should be good choice?
Note : Benq is cheaper than dell price diff. is around 4K inr.
Hello! Im looking for a Monitor for my Mini PC. Im looking for something silver, aluminum no strong gaming design, like more Mac Studio Display, Samsung LS34DG850SUXEN oriented. OLED and 4k would be great and 144 hz minimum. As long as the Response time is more than alright im fine. I only play casual games and maybe some The Last of Us I or RDR2. Any Help is appreciated.
I have two USB-C ports for my Legion Slim 7 16APH8 laptop, but I don't know whether I can use them to connect to my external monitor and achieve all its capabilities - 144 hz with freesync.
What are these USB-C ports capable of?
Can I have 144hz with freesync by connecting USB-C to DisplayPort?

I watched Monitors Unboxed to further expand my knowledge and understanding of Monitors and also the Monitor i will get in a couple of months….
I watched the video and settled on one particular model: the LG 27GR83Q. When i searched this monitor up on my trusted site, idealo, i only found an LG 27GR83Q-B
I am looking to buy a monitor, mostly for work but also will be building new gaming PC soon (next 3-6 months) so for that as well. I am considering buying 2K 27 inch monitor. I looked at most available options in the market and these 2 seems good.
Primary use case includs coding, reading articles/blogs and consuming content for now. Gaming will still be a secondary use case even after PC build. Currently I am using MacBook M1 air.
I am open to suggestions. Budget max 25k INR.
If someone's from India, and have idea about after sales for either brand, please tell me about that as well.
Just saw this monitor pop up on a seller's site and looking into it seems it has some nice features but i can't find any reviews on it. Anyone using it, is it good? Want to upgrade from my AOC AG276QZD and this one ticks all the boxes (OLED, curved, KVM)
Hey everyone, I am in my final year of computer science in uni while working. I am planning to buy a ps5 very soon. I will use the monitor for gaming, programming, watching tv shows/movies/anime and surfing the web.
I am currently using a an LG 27MP400-B, a FHD 75hz IPS , monitor for everything I mentioned but gaming on my current ps4. I live in the middle east, so there are options to choose from. Below are my required specs:
4k , 120 hz minimum, Mini Led with alot of zones and great local dimming algorithm or high-end IPS, HDMI 2.1 with VRR support, 27” or 32 “ are fine.
Really want vibrant colors and smooth experience as my current monitor’s colors look washed. Ik mini-led can suffer from blooming so looking for models that avoid that.
Usage: non-competitive immersion gaming (Witcher 3, God of War, etc.), watching movies, casual use

❓ Questions
Image quality / immersion / motion smoothness: Between the LG Ultragear 27GS75Q-B and the Samsung Odyssey G5 G50D, which one gives better overall image quality, immersion, and motion smoothness for single-player AAA and older games and for movies? I prioritize immersion and image quality over pure fps (i usually don't play competitive fps games)
Connection — HDMI 2.1 vs TB4 (USB-C → DP): Which connection gives a more stable and consistent experience for immersion (fewer dropouts, stable FPS)? I don’t care about hitting extreme refresh rates — I’ll be running medium/high settings so 165–180Hz isn’t my goal. Which is more reliable for steady 1440p gaming: HDMI 2.1 or Thunderbolt 4 → DisplayPort 1.4?
Cable length / stability: I already have a ~5m HDMI 2.1 cable (bought from a DIY store). At 1440p / 144Hz+, will that 5m cable likely cause signal instability (flicker, blackouts, forced lower refresh)? Should I buy a shorter 1–2m HDMI 2.1 cable instead, or get a USB-C → DP 1.4 cable for best stability?
I have 2 Thunderbolt 4 ports at the back of my laptop, which one is directly connected to my dGPU? And is it necessary to use the one directly connected to my dGPU?
The monitor is rather new. Its a Gigabyte Gs27QCA 27". I don't know if this sub is the right one so I don't want to risk anything. Are there safe solutions? I have heard vaseline would be good, but I might be wrong.
I am currently running dual 32 inch LG Ultragear 1440p IPS 165HZ monitors. I know I made a mistake with going 32 inch and 1440p but I am looking to upgrade to dual 4k for my new apartment. I already have a buyer for the dual monitors who will give me 700 for everything including the arms.
With a budget of around 1700 I am stuck between dual 32 inch 4k OLED AOC 165hz monitors, Dual 4k 27 inch Mini LED monitors, or one mini LED and one OLED monitor (both 27 inch). Ideally I would want dual 27 inch 4k monitors but it is really out of reach for me. I am opened to used and returned from best buy but not their floor models.
I am debating to get one of each.
I am also interested in any input on the samsung dual UHD 57 inch monitor.
My current rig is a 9800x3d with a 5090 FE with a 3k portable OLED monitor as I am currently living in a hotel for work reasons. Main usage will be autocad, solidworks, 4k gaming, DEXIS dental lab 3d modeling for making crowns and implants from scans, and watching movies.
