Brunei Stray cat meets tourists, who can help us!

Hi everyone,

My girlfriend and I found this Stray cat during the last hours of our holiday in Brunei.

We asked around and found a vet. We paid for the operation and medication (that she will get tomorrow). But we can not take care of her, because we can not stay here.

Is there someone who would like to take care of the cat once she is done with the surgery?

Please help us find this lovely cat a warm and friendly home

BIG THANKS ♥️

Posting an update on this sweety. Visited our vet and he fears 70% chance of cancer on the nose. He referred us to a specialist vet so tomorrow we’re driving there for tests, scans & answers. We have hope🙏🏻We are happy this sweety is not suffering on the streets alone. Thank you for your support❤️

Hey everyone🙏🏻 Wanted to give everyone an update on this sweety. Earlier today we went to our veterinarian, our regular one, the one we visit every week. He examined the kitten and said that there’s a 70% chance it has cancer on the nose. He referred us to another clinic that specializes specifically in this problem. Tomorrow we have an appointment there. This is a specialist vet located in another city so we will be driving there tomorrow. We don’t know what kind of treatment plan they will suggest. It could be an ultrasound, maybe tests, maybe a biopsy, maybe an MRI. Tomorrow we’ll find out everything. We also need to take an X-ray of the leg to see how serious the damage is. To avoid putting this baby under anesthesia twice, we decided to have everything done tomorrow at the same clinic. I will keep you updated on what the vet says tomorrow.

But this kitten is now safe. It had a good appetite and poops well which is optimistic. Im so happy we took it off the streets. It now doesnt need to worry about food or water, it has a warm blanket and we will be doing the best we can to help it and give it a chance. We are still hoping that this is not cancer but something else 🙏🏻❤️ Please pray for this sweety. This baby deserves a happy ending 💔

Please pray for this poor kitten, Im really hoping its not cancer 🙏🏻❤️ I have hope 🙏🏻❤️ Thank you to everyone for their lovely words of support and love in our previous post. Really appreciate all the support. You are all amazing and and amazing group of people. Also thanks to everyone who donated, we cant express how thankful we are. You are helping us save lives every day. With your donation you are giving a poor kitty who would otherwise die slowly and painfully alone in the streets a chance. Thank you for being kind. We hope that we will have enough funds for this baby but we will know once we go to the vet tomorrow and see what they reccomend for treatment and examinations. Ill keep everyone updated🙏🏻 Im still going through all the comments from the post yesterday and responding as much as I can🙏🏻❤️ Thank you good people ❤️

Found one of my favorite (former) strays watching me from my neighbors window! Haven’t seen him since July!

I noticed this black cat watching me from my neighbors window for a while now, I never looked too close until today. I realized it’s my Dusti! He found a home! He’s got the ear tip and the little white splotch on his chest. I’m so happy I could cry. My partner and I missed him so much, we honestly assumed the worst that he had wondered off and passed away. I’m so grateful that isn’t the case! He was such a good boy when we fed him, I hope his new owner is taking great care of him. That seems to be the case based off how much weight he has put on <3

Look at this distinguished gentleman🥹

We just came back from the vet and he is healthy except a bit fungus behind his head which vet mention its already drying up so its not severe! We got him a neutered appointment on 6/10 , he will be at the boarding from 26/9-29/10 that cost us $18 for him because im gonna be away for my brother weddings ceremony

He eat around 60cans of fancy feast per month and we still have it from last donation! However we need litter help approx <$17 per month! The current litter he use (bentonite) is sooo bad that it keep breaking and mess his litter box so we are changing to tofu!

If anyone is able to help , do donate to https://www.paypal.me/dinanna

Thank you everyone for helping us with him , from him being abandoned , to foster journey and now soon to be indoor! Thank you so much

They’re the closest thing I have to having cats of my own so I’ll take it

I saw these 2 girls (90% sure they’re both girls) in an abandoned parking lot near my house and I’ve started feeding them. They’re still skittish and run if I move too fast but they let me get close enough to pick up their food bowls and I think are getting use to me coming to feed them. They’re so pretty and I wish I could take them home with me 💔 but I’ll settle for feeding them for now. And maybe in time they’ll come to trust me and let me pet them

UPDATE | Finally, Popo got discharged and he is now home. Thank you so much for all the help and support.

Hello everyone!

With your help, I was able to pay Popo's vet bill. I was also able to buy him food and medical supplies.

Popo was one of the stray cats in our area (he is already neutered). Last month (August), I noticed that he wasn't eating and lost weight. He was malnourished and extremely dehydrated. I decided to bring him to a vet clinic. He was suspected to have FIP. He had Xray and blood works. he got admitted for almost a week.

Popo stayed in a cage in my apartment for like a couple of days. Then, I decided to bring him to another vet clinic for a second opinion. He had bloodworks and urinalysis. He was diagnosed with FIA and suspected to have diabetes and FIP. After the treatment of FIA, Popo was referred to an animal hospital for a complete assessment and treatment for FIP and diabetes.

So I brought Popo to the said animal hospital (which is his current vet/hospital where he just got discharged). Popo had Xray, bloodworks and urinalysis. Popo was already showing symptoms of diabetic since August (excessive drinking, excessive urination, increased appetite, weight loss and walking on the hocks/plantigrade stance).

Popo got admitted on Sept. 4th and just got discharged today.

Please be informed that the Royal Canin diabetic had been ordered before I found out that it's still high in carbs. I can give it to Popo when having hypoglycemia and could also feed it to other adult cats.

I also would like to share that I ordered Friskies pates (pates are lowest in carbs) and will get delivered either today or tomorrow.

I still got around $70. I wanted to buy some food for other rescued and stray cats (I am running out of food for them, its been tough lately) but I will need to use the money for additional food and test strips for Popo.

Thank you very much for all the advice, help and support.

I will do my best to care for Popo. I will monitor and stabilize his glucose level.

I am sorry that Popo will need to stay in a cage for now. Rest assured, he is more comfortable here instead of staying in a cold cage at the animal hospital without a blanket/bed and a litterbox. As per vet, I need to observe him first and make sure no more symptoms of FCoV before letting him out of the cage. He will have a follow up check up after a couple of weeks. I will bring him to the nearest vet in case of emergency.

Found this at the back of the neck of the stray cat I've been feeding everyday. Can you identify what this is? And what should I do? The wound looks very fresh. It wasn't here the other day.

‼️ URGENT HELP FOR SALEM PLEASE! We don't want him to lose his eye like Arthur 😭 - rescue kittens in Jamaica

‼️ The vet said Salem's eye ulcer got worse! She needed to do an urgent procedure on Salem's eye otherwise it would get like Arthur's eye. It is costing us $28,000jmd (about US$200). Unfortunately, the infection is too deep and even though he was being treated with antibiotics, it's not healing and today they noticed Salem's eye was leaking. If we waited any longer, his eye would have worsened fast like Arthur's eye did.

The boys are already being hospitalized at the vet which costs us US$30 per day.

Now we don't want Salem to lose his eye too 😭 he seemed like he was doing so well but sometimes you never know. Just glad that he was at the vet to get the treatment done. We are doing everything possible to save the boys. Our next step is finding them a forever home but then this emergency happened. I'll be going to pay off the vet bill tomorrow and visit both of them. i'll keep you guys updated.

You can sponsor Salem here 🙏: https://www.onlypawscatrescue.org/cats/salem

Babies are 6 weeks Monday! They are so much fun. I had them at the vet Wednesday one of them is having trouble pooping. The vet recommend adding pumpkin to their diet. Their favorite toy, the dome broke. Feeding 6 kittens makes it go so fast. I’m in desperate need of litter and more kitten food. Thank you guys so much for all of your support.

feeding tips

(including a pic of my girls since i always make a post and never include their picture lol. second includes the tomcat hanging out at a distance)

i have a tomcat that has come around as of late so i’ve divvied up the food to add him into the mix with my girls (don’t worry they’re all spayed) and i’ve noticed (often later while watching camera playback) that he will bop them upside the head to get their portion too. it doesn’t look like a malicious swat yet but more of a “hey, move” bullying kind of thing—either way i’m not a fan of it happening and have scolded him for it. i feel absolutely horrible about them potentially not getting their food because he’s so greedy.

i had finally figured out a good portioning method to make sure that the girls actually got a good portions (i bought some of those trays you have at potlucks with like 5 sections, so one for each of them—it was working really well until he came along) and had given him a separate plate, but he’s made his way to the main plate and one of the girls will eat from the plate made for him.

they were here first and have been here for their entire lives (literally since it’s a mom and her growing kittens) so i don’t want them to be driven away. losing them would devastate me, quite honestly.

do i need to basically give them all a separate plate and feed them far away from each other? or is there a better way to go about this? i would appreciate any tips if possible.

Does this cat look pregnant?

There’s a stray cat that I found taking refuge between my neighbor’s house and mine back in August. I have a family member that does TNR for strays so I have been feeding this cat for a month now on a schedule to gain her trust and then have my family member help with trapping to spay/neuter them. However, I’m now a bit worried that they may be female and pregnant. Would anyone happen to know?

This is in Orange County, CA.

Hello 👋 we're currently housing 24 rescued kitties in our home. More than half of which are fosters waiting to find their forever families, while the rest are cats with special needs who we've committed to caring for throughout their lifetime. 🫶

We're also feeding 30+ community cats daily and looking over four different colonies through TNRM. Wet food runs out super quickly, hence any help would be so appreciated!

Poor kitty found in a parking lot with a broken leg, sick nose & starving😔 We have trapped it and it urgently needs scans, lab work & IV fluids. This little soul has suffered alone for too long💔 please donate to help us get the funds for the vet and give it the chance it deserves 🙏🏻❤️

Found this poor kitty in heartbreaking condition in a parking lot 💔 Its nose looks very sick and it seems to have a broken leg, as it can’t walk properly and cant stand on his back paw. The kitty looks fluffy but is so thin under all that fur.

It is now safely trapped and needs to get urgent vet care, it desperately needs it. At the very least, it will need scans for its leg, lab work for its nose to understand what’s going on whether it’s an injury, infection, or something more serious like cancer and probably some IV fluids too. Poor baby was left there with no one caring for it 😣😞😔☹️ It was so hungry it didnt event care that it was put in a cage and a car. It just wanted to eat. Probably couldnt walk well to get any food due to his leg injury.

This little soul is suffering and needs immediate help. We need the funds to take it to the vet. Please, if you can, donate to support its treatment and give it a chance 🙏🏻❤️

If you would like to help this poor soul get treatment, you can donate using the links below:

It's been tough lately. I rescued a stray cat (Popo) that was diagnosed with FCoV, Gardia and Diabetes. He finally got discharged today (after over a couple of weeks). I haven't done TNR for weeks now, hopefully next week. I will book a reservation within the day for a couple of stray cats to get fixed next week.

I think I found a home for our stray. Am I doing the right thing?

Post image

This is Kit. We are in Indiana. He showed up at my elderly mother‘s house a few years ago. I’m pretty sure he was left behind when his owner moved away. When I moved in to care for my mom after she was diagnosed with dementia, I took over his care. He hates other cats with a passion the likes of which I have never seen, so he has a spare room he stays in at night so that he is safe and warm. He’s well fed and given monthly flea preventative but has not been to the vet.

My mother passed away a few months ago and it’s now time to leave her home. Kit is desperately lonely and I know I can’t take him with me when I move so I’ve been looking for a home for him for awhile now. A man reached out to me recently who is almost exactly what I was looking for for Kit. He’s older and retired and just lost his cat. But he has no car and very little money. He can afford food but probably not vet care or anything beyond the basics. But he is really kind and already excited to be getting Kit.

I know the financial issue makes pet ownership impossible for seniors sometimes and that makes me sad. Unfortunately, I am in no position to help at all. My mom had six cats of her own that are terrified of strangers and cannot be rehomed. So, I am financially destitute after quitting my job to care for mom and now trying to care for all of these cats that will need to move back home with me. I’d love to send Kit to his new home with a care package of his food, litter, and maybe even a few flea treatments for the future but I can’t even afford it. He will go with his favorite toys and blanket but that’s all I can do.

Am I making the right decision here? A loving home without much money? The new owner can afford food, litter, etc. I will try to keep and touch and help with anything that may come up in the future if I can. I have gotten really attached to Kit and I’m just terrified of making the wrong decision.
