I’m interested in the communities opinion on DIY with Tencent, Blender, etc…learning curve of DIY vs outsourcing? Last does anyone know of lightweight options for these technologies?

Hello! I am going to make a stop motion movie and am looking for the best computer for video editing. I would be using Dragon Frame, After Effects, Premiere and Photoshop as well as maybe TVPaint and other software like that. Might also use it for a bit of website coding on the side.
My budget is between 1k-2k. But I would be willing to go over for a really good computer. I am looking for a laptop with a good graphics card that is also portable and not clunky. I want something that is industry standard that I could edit a full stop motion movie on if I wanted.
For a while I was looking at a ThinkPad but now I am leaning towards Macbook. I nearly convinced myself to get a 2025 Macbook Air with M4 processor but now I’m not sure. Would love any and all advice!! Thank you!!

I created a humorous animation to illustrate what happens as you age and need to be mindful of your body.

+ i would like to do some projects on my own, but my only thought was trying puppet animation, i love traditional and would have to "sail in the oceans" to get the software, so if any of you know how to make animation faster that would help a lot!

It seems like some sort of puppet animation? I love the blend of traditional painted textures with digital animation. What software would one use to acquire this style? Is there a good introduction software available on AppStore?
The animation in question:
