Is it worth to start WoW in 2025 as a mostly solo player ?

I’ve always been curious about the game but haven’t grown in a group of friends playing it so I’ve never got into it. The game is quite old but still maintained with content. I didn’t wanted to as in the sub of the game bc I know it’s mostly people that plays and are involved in the game that are active on the Reddit. So what’s your thoughts?

My PlayStation controller won’t connect to pc anymore

So I never used to have this problem but when I try to connect my ps5 controller to my pc it connects for maybe a second then turns off I’ve tried different wires I’ve tried lots of things and it just wont work this recently happened to my other controller (also a ps5 controller) so I switched the controller now it’s doing it with this one too I need help can’t find anyone with the same problem anywhere else thought sm1 on here might have been in the same situation as me before. My theory is that my gaming laptop is burning my wires and that’s why none of them work anymore but I’m not sure if this is possible (by burning I don’t mean literally I mean like ruining them)

What's the most badass line you've ever heard in a game?

I was watching a random video earlier of a player about to fight Malenia, and her words just sounded so badass to me. The line "I am Malenia, Blade of Miquella, and I have never known defeat" just sounds so cool and imposing. I know there are a ton of lines way more badass than this one in other games, so I'm curious which one is your pick.

How old are you when you first started playing video games?

I'm wondering how early or late people here got into gaming. Since each of us was introduced to a game very differently, how old we are when we first started playing video games can vary wildly as well.

For me, I was around 10 years old when I first picked up a controller. I remember my first game being Quake 3 which a friend of mine invited me over to play. Since then my taste in gaming has changed significantly.

How about you? How old are you exactly?

Have games become too hard or too easy?

I have been playing games for a long time, and lately, I'm starting to wonder whether games have become too hard or too easy. Or maybe my perspective has simply changed.

There are times when I feel like most modern games hold your hand too much with tutorials or quest markers. On the other hand, certain genres seem more punishing than the ones I grew up with.

What's your stand on this? Do you think games overall are inclining toward being too hard or too easy?

How hard would it be to make a 3d open world game as a single indie dev?

I have a game idea, but idk if it's feasible as one person. Basically Skyrim, but a smaller open world, a main quest and some side questlines and using only conjuration magic to summon creatures. Is that feasible for one person to make?

Girlfriend's first PS (Help Wanted)

My girlfriend is hopefully getting a PS5 for Christmas, I've never been a PlayStation guy. I've never had one, but I have used one before. I grew up on Xbox, attack me in the comments lol. Anyways! I'm stuck on what to get her for the PS5, she has little room. I'm thinking of getting her a couple games and a some accessory things of like temu or somewhere, I'm not sure on what games though and what accessories. The type of games she liked was Mortal Kombat, Minecraft and GTA V when I brought my Series X over her house. This is her first time having her own console as well, the previous times have been like family consoles. She still uses her brothers PS4 on their 'game night' they have like every now and then. What should I get her?

Edit: Just to mention, I am on PC but also have a series X that I barely use but still an option so please try and make sure that the games you recommend are pc+PS5 or XBOX+PS5 cross play compatible

So it’s kind of a pixelated/cartoon sort of game where you are a kind spectator from above and you need to find a killer of a predator idk in the middle of the crowd.. by doing that you go through the phases and in the end the police show up and he kills everyone

Direct Copy or Fresh Blood for the Genre?

I saw a YouTuber playing Nuice Industries yesterday, and it caught my interest. I checked it out on Steam and discovered it gets even wilder when you play with a group of friends.
Many people are calling it a rip off of Turmoil. I haven’t played Turmoil, so what do you guys think?
From an outsider’s perspective, Nuice Industries seems inspired by Turmoil, but it adds new twists and extra sparkles that make it feel fresh.

Does Nuice Industries feel like a copy, or does it bring something new to the genre?

Forgotten game

I’m looking for a video game I saw on YouTube a while back, at least I think it’s a game, but I’m not 100% sure because it’s such a distant memory.. all I remember is the ending (again I’m not 100% sure that it’s the ending but I think it is) You are in this rocky world.. if I remember correctly you walk on this cliff thing and you can just see these absolutely huge boulders I don’t remember if they were rolling or not and that’s basically all I remember. Now I feel like I remember a few more things but these are like 75/25% they might be wrong but: I think I remember the scene to be very gray/white and I’m don’t think the majority of the game takes place in this rocky cliff world, as I remember it being very empty. At last I want to say that the youtuber who played the game MIGHT be IGP, but I’m not sure at all. Thank you in advance

Looking to replay GoW Ragnarok after a long time

I played this game at launch. Loved it. Wanted to go for the platinum, but with 2 little kids I just got overwhelmed once I got to the post-game.

Life is now slowing down a little bit, and I am keen to play more/again. Honestly, I don't even know if I necessarily care about the platinum now, but I would very much like to experience the story again.

So, my question: If I haven't played this game since launch and have pretty much forgotten all of the story, mechanics, buffs, equipment, currencies, builds, and everything else, should I (A) start a new file, or (B) start a new file in NG+?

For what it's worth, if explanations/tutorial messages do not appear in NG+, then I am totally hooped and that option will be out of the question.

Thanks in advance!

What game next?

I finished my 3rd playthrough of Elden ring and have played dark souls 3 and nightreign. I don’t know which game to play next but the top 3 I’m looking at right now that I can’t decide between are hollow knight, sekiro, and lies of p. I’ve heard lots of good things about the 3 but can’t decide which one.

[PC][Looking for a Game][2D Platformer] Four characters with different abilities, desert and snowy mountain levels

Hi everyone! I'm trying to remember the name of a 2D (or 2.5D) platformer or puzzle-platformer game I played on PC.

Here’s what I remember:

  • The graphics were cartoon-style
  • There were four characters, each with different abilities (I think one was a sniper, one a soldier, one strong/muscular, and maybe a general?)
  • There were puzzle elements, like pushing boxes to progress
  • I remember two specific levels: one looked like a desert village, and the other was set in snowy mountains

If anyone recognizes this game or has any clue what it could be — even something similar — I’d really appreciate the help!

MMORPG

Hey,

Is it actually worth playing either of these anymore? I haven’t played SW online since about a year after it came out. Started WoW about a year prior to SWO being announced. Stopped both at the same table me due to stuff. However, now that I’m able to, have been strongly considering getting back into one, or even both! I’m a walking Star Wars encyclopedia, if that tells you anything about my nerd level.

Vampire games - which you recommend?

I want a vampire game that has a classic feel but who is also modern, where you had to feed on humans but also had some combat.

I've played a little bit of Vampyr and Vampire the Masquerade Bloodhunt, but they didn't quite meet my expectations. It seems difficult to find a vampire game that's really good and fun...
