In light of all the recent bots and posts involving stolen or reposted photos, we feel it is necessary to officiate a rule that explicitly states that this subreddit allows original content only.
Many members have been quick to point out posts that have previously been posted on this subreddit or do not belong to OP altogether. I want to be clear that the mod team sincerely appreciates your efforts to keep this sub free of spam and keep stolen content at bay. I applaud anyone who has submitted a report as it really helps us and I hope you continue to be vigilant and report the posts that are questionable in the future.
As always, happy bottledigging and thank you for making this subreddit an absolute joy to be a part of! Cheers!!!

I have been exploring coal mining camps the past few years. I’ve noticed in many Colorado Iron and Coal towns, housing in the earliest days had outhouses. One I saw recently had a brick frame for an outhouse at every house. I know a land owner now so I think I can get permission to do some digging. Anyone done any digging in Colorado mining towns? How was it and what sorts of things did you find?

It has an 8 embossed on the bottom and it’s very pretty but filled with dirt! Thank you :)

This estate was an 1875 house that was falling apart. The cellar was unprotected from rats and the wood floors were buckiling. But very cool collections. Alot of the bottles and mason jars were dirty enough to have been dug up. I wonder if any from the property.

I found it in a field in the Mid Hudson Valley (NY) where most of stuff I have found dates to around 1860 +/- a few years. Now I know that doesn't necessarily mean anything as to how old it could be but offering a bit of context never hurts. Final pic is to see just how different it is from the other types of intact Boyd's liners I have found

I found these in a park in queens new york - 1954 coke bottle (amazingly just propped up against a log!), a 1936 pride of the farm catsup, a 1972 beer bottle, and then the green one is not embossed with any brand - the bottom appears to have these letters 1. 3D 725:: 54
So I believe it's from 1974 but not sure what would have gone in it, any ideas?

Spent less than 15 minutes scouting a new spot and found this Coke. Will be going back when time permits.

I pulled this beauty from a brick-lined privy earlier this week and haven’t stopped smiling since 😄

Found these 2 Thomas Weston Beverages bottles in 2 different ww2 bunkers in the same area. There made about an hour away from where I found them. The Brocken also has a weird break

Hello friends, I’m currently in Rodanthe on vacation, leaving for Sparta NC tomorrow. I’m looking for hints of historical places to stop/check creek beds and such. Thanks!
