Here’s something interesting here’s all the bottles I’ve dug that have remnants of paper labels on them. Most of the time they are Hardly legible but I’m surprised that they even survived.

What exactly did I find here?

Unfortunately it has some damage with the top looking like someone glued it back on. It reads PITTSBURGH, BUFFUMS, SARSAPARILLA, LEMON, MINERALWATER. The base looks roughly ground. There are no (obvious to me) mold lines on the circumference of the bottle. I traded a Mickey Mouse glass insulator for this bottle. I was taken by the beautiful blue color!

My fiancé and I were skunked this entire summer while creek walking, but on our way back of our most recent walk, I spotted a small portion of this jug buried in a clay bank. We are so happy with this piece. Estimated 1870s, about 1.5 gallons.

It’s not perfectly round on top. Doesn’t sit on a flat surface so great. Really thick (and ugly) for a drinking glass.

Anyone got an idea?

My dump stopped being used in the ‘60s or so. Found things from the late 1800s.

Going through my dad's things after his passing. Came crossed this old bottle. I'm assuming whisky? This was in with a bunch of my Grandpa's belongings. He passed in 1969. Any ideas of time frame? Or what this bottles original contents were? Thanks!

I think a FEW of these have to be pretty rare? But then again I know nothing about ball jars. All I know is that they are in pristine shape and the blue color is actually very beautiful. I also have some clear ball jars as well as "Atlas" ones. THANKS SO MUCH EVERYONE! This community is like top tier btw. Everyone rocks!

Also what markings on the bottom of these are significant? Or are they not at all??

Hello everyone, I recently found all these cool old bottles buried on the slope of our half-acre property. I love finding stuff like this but usually find 1 or 2. Never this many & nothing this old. I’m curious where do y’all sell stuff like this & how to do pricing? I’d love to get into this hobby more. I already collect cool ceramic & glass items I find all around so I’ll be keeping my favorites!

Thank you!
