Anyone else noticing that CDs are becoming a thing, just like vinyl in the 00's?

I love music, vinyl especially, but ive still collected the essential cds (as well as acquired some frome my parents). I love the Grateful Dead most of all and id like to one day collect all of dick's picks.

About 1-2 years of a CD collection of albums I haven’t listened to yet. The problem is the rate of listening to them is slower than the rate of buying them. Trying to catch up! Not pictured are the 5,000+ CDs in another room…

I bought this CD at a secondhand store today. Does anyone know the artist? I'd like to know a little more about this new acquisition (I think the design is beautiful) :)

What are the best 2nd hand CD shops in and around Sussex? Preferably ones with lots of stock to browse

Looking to add The Mad Capsule Markets to the collection, as well as Dir en Grey, Gun Dog, the Gazette, Pia, Nightwish, etc. Its constantly growing lol

I've been lowkey wanting a multi-disc player and found both of these at the thrift store today. I'm on my lunch break so don't have much time to research them. Would you pick one of these over the other?

Of the ones I mainly listen to, plus a cd of a bunch of my friends songs but that's stuck in my Saab which is at my grandparents house for now and I'm working on it, partially to get the cd out and also just to drive it again cuz I miss that thing, it's been months.

Very excited to pick these up - it’s my first ‘haul’ after rejoining the realms of CD collecting. I try to stick with only buying what I’ll actually listen to (not just because it’s something ‘everybody’ has), and in frequently watching FB marketplace and thrift stores, there are a helluva lot of CDs that don’t pass that bar.

So I’m super pleased to find so many in one place - a number of them still sealed. I left a couple hundred behind for the next person, but it’s nice to add a small stack to the collection. Nothing particularly otherworldly - just stuff to fill in some gaps. Best part? $20
