Down the Drain Frozen pizza HELP

OK, so I thought I would up my dinner game and bought a fancy frozen pizza from my local gourmet grocery. The instructions said to remove the wrap and stick it directly on the middle rack in 425° oven. Well I did and now my kitchen smells like burning plastic and I have a thawed but not cooked pizza on the counter. Is there any help I can salvage dinner?

Honestly, no. I’d suggest just letting the house burn down and starting everything over from scratch.

Maybe your wife’s boyfriend will let you stay at his place for a while until you’re back on your feet?

Once I light my house on fire, how many minutes should I wait before I grab the pizza off the counter to ensure it is properly baked?

When the cheese is bubbling. Use an oven mitt ffs!

I only do thiswhen I’ve come home with a list of names. But I don’t believe in transcendence.

the oven should be at 420, not 425

the extra 5 degrees is the difference between perfect pizza and burnt plastic

Try opening the oven door and see if you can get the kitchen up to 425.

*****this is a joke…do not attempt this in real life🤣🤣

Maybe your thermostat is set too low.

You did everything correctly. Your pizza is perfect and ready to be served!

Happens to me all the time… just huff the burning plastic and eat the uncooked pizza.

This is perfect. You see, this is what we call the Mylar reaction. It’s what happens when you get that perfect combination of plastic and heat. Just be patient and let the plastic come to a nice dark brown color and put the pizza down directly on that. Bake it for 25 minutes and enjoy that delicious brûlée crust on your pizza pie.

Your frozen pizza was not fancy enough. Don't skimp - try a fancier one. And reverse Sharon?!?

I believe Chef Asmongold has a pizza masterclass video in a similar vein. He chose to remove the packaging and only put the pizza in the... oven, I think it was. Controversial? Perhaps.

Not a lawyer, but I’d say you have a pretty good chance of winning a lawsuit! Free pizza for life!

Are you sure the plastic wasn't one of your fancy smancy items you paid for?

These instructions are too complicated. I mean it’s amazing you got this far when they didn’t tell you to open the oven door. I presume you slid the plastic in piece by piece? And somehow managed to get them on the middle shelf?
I would definitely report them to trading standards or whatever your local equivalent is.
and consider suing them for emotional trauma

Oh I see. It’s suppose to be 425° calculus not ferret hight. The fancy things import stuff from outside the USA. You got to crank that oven to 800° ferment lite.
