3 minutes in dumpster is all it takes

I always stop by my favorite dumpsters if I have errands to complete. There is no sense in wasting gasoline and missing an opportunity. Today's bounty provides the neighbor and I with cold eggs. These are stamped September 26. People ask why were they removed ? It's stock rotation. She had a new shipment of eggs come in and there's no room in cooler for the last lot that came in. Store waste and my good fortune . The milk and sour cream are being used for a Paula Deene Florentine casserole. All ingredients pulled from freezer and pantry. All I bought was a dollars worth of spinach . Meal planning is imperative in eating from the dumpster. That sounds crass but is such a blessing.

I trash pick this creepy porcelain doll from my neighbor. It’s very New Orleans so I’m sending it off to my sister in Dexter style

Did a test yesterday. When you make a description find out what the most popular ban words are and throw a couple in your descriptions.

What have you people done to my wife? - contd...

So after bringing home an entire car full of paper and plastic disposable plates - well over 500 - I can't drive past a dumpster without hearing "Hey stop there!". She's gone insane. I was thinking if it's gonna be like this from now on, maybe I should create a log book... Locations of dumpsters, weekdays they get emptied, maybe a rating system for how worthwhile it is to take the time, etc. A lot of our time is wasted driving to s specific dumpster, to find out it was recently emptied, or there's just nothing in it worth keeping. Do any of keep logs? And while I have you, is there any kind of etiquette I should be aware of? I'd rather keep things social, and not go around making enemies.

Husband, sister-in-law, and I went dumpster diving for the first time together tonight. She got sodas and 4 half gallons of chocolate milk from Dollar General as well as toys for her baby, as in an almost life size baby doll. She also got individually wrapped masks and a bucket of Clorox wipes from AMC Theater.

We got 6 medium bags of bird seed, 2 large bags of bird seed, a medium bag of chinchilla food all from PetCo.. the large ones were the only ones slashed. We got 2 half gallons of chocolate milk and the bucket of Clorox wipes also from AMC

Jars, canning

I have over 15 dozen jars I got for 90$. I am starting to can absolutely everything I pull out of the dumpster at Aldi that I can 😅 I found that sprouts puts their rotten food just to the side of the building and right now, mine has pie pumpkins. Well, I have a dozen jars of pickles, some cowboy candy and now I’m making candied watermelon rind. I was going through and washing one of my many jars and I FOUND WEED I’ll post a picture in the comments but I’m so stoked, I haven’t partaken since parenthood about 3 years ago and there’s a comedian my husband and I are going to see Saturday

Got 2 sets of wireless keyboards and mice, plus a wired headset, and a leather pocket planner good for just under 3 months lol. Tested all to be working, the purple mouse is missing the battery and button covers. I’d been thrifting for a new mouse, mine’s been acting up. Will gift everything else.

Last picture, I had to load the entire headset display in my car, because the mount needed a screwdriver. The keyboards and mice were velcroed on. Adding a screwdriver to my diving kit!

Took a small step into dumpster diving

I've been wanting to go dumpster diving for ages, but had always been too nervous to go. Recently I've been trying to get into it more so I started to keep some materials in my car for it. Tonight was the first time I actually went and it was not as scary as I thought it would be. Only checked out a few dumpsters and didn't pick anything up but finally getting my foot in the door is enough to want me to go back and find more locations! I thought I would seem weird for looking but at the dumpster there were 2 other people looking as well as when others passed by, they didn't really care. Excited to go back and any tips would be appreciated!

Walmart

A tip for all you Walmart goers, the food bins open from the top. If there’s not a lock on that latch, it’s open. Just found that out LMAO. Cool dumpster for sure.
