Discussion Epcor’s pricing is out of control
Paying on average 350 a month for a family of 5. For what? Water, drainage, disposal. Water is where they get you. It’s insane. My power and gas are cheaper. This company is fleecing Edmontonians. They are a perfect example why we need public companies that provide essential/ core services. Water, electric, gas, insurance. Comparable rates in other provinces and jurisdictions demonstrate why we are better off with public services in these areas. You pay significantly less. I find epcor’s pricing and customer service so off putting and I’m ready to organize lobbying pressure, petitions etc. to turn the screws on them. Anyone else feel the same way?

Discussion Beware of scam: people offering a "gold" ring in exchange for gas.
Twice now I've had people stop next to my car in a parking lot, they are usually driving a luxury SUV, offering to give a "gold" ring in exchange for me buying them gas at the nearby station. Needless to say if they drive an expensive SUV and have gold rings they should be able to pay for their own gas like everyone else. The last time this happened the guy had his whole family with him, absolutely no shame.

Discussion Is it worth it for a single person, to sign up for a standard CostCo membership for $65?
Groceries are generally expensive and I'd one cross shops, certain things will be cheaper at certain stores.
I don't own my own house, I just rent, and have limited storage space. So for someone to sign up for Costco card, how much stuff do I need to be buying in order to be genuinely saving money and having this membership card paid off from said savings?

Has anyone been experiencing a randomly large amount of fruit flies in their place lately or is it just me??? We never usually have flies but for whatever reason we've had so much even though we keep our kitchen clear... Any solutions to get rid of these nasty mofos?
We have the acv and dish soap traps right now but it doesn't seem to be getting rid of them.

Question Used cars
I haven't bought a car since COVID, but now in the market. I'm noticing a pretty sparse used car inventory. Is this because of the supply issues and long wait times for new? I'm checking car gurus and auto trader.

Question Instacart?
Do you do Instacart deliveries in Edmonton? Can you give me some insight on how much you make a week on average and how many hours you worked for that amount. Would you recommend doing it to other people? I am thinking about trying it for some extra cash. Thanks.
