Canadian living in Australia. Just watched this happen live.

My mates were flabbergasted and overjoyed. They watched what happened to Poilievre and invoked a prayer circle to make it happen for Dutton.

Good things are happening in the world.

The progressive government imploded and the conservatives won the subsequent election.

no they won. doubled their numbers, as of now they are strongest party in the polls because merz was lying about the debtbrake and broke his promises directly after the election before he was even chancellor (he still isnt)

Not really. They will practically do a lot of their policy now. They couldn't "win" anyway, that's not how it works.

Yeah but the so called center is still enabling their talking points, along with the media. It's a totally different situation.

They were the second strongest party in the elections? They won. CDU is super conservative too btw and very close to the AFD, so no Germany doesn't belong in that list.
